Father's Day Drama Part 1

zerostepdrama's picture

It's been interesting in skid land the past few days.

YSD18 had her baby 2 weeks early. A girl. DH hasn't seen her or hasn't seemed very excited about it. When she sent the picture of the baby announcing her birth DH didn't even want to reply to her text. I did encourage him to at least respond and he said "She has no business having a baby." True. I know it's hard that his youngest is following in the foot steps of OSD and MSD, having a baby too young and with no financial stability.

Not sure when DH will see YSD and the baby. YSD is living with BM. I'm fine with YSD coming over to the house with the baby so that DH can see her. However, I am not making the suggestion. I thought about it... but I figured if DH wants to see her then he will make the plan.

****Father's Day- DH gets texts from SS, YSD and OSD.

OSD's text to DH:

Happy Father's Day. Hope you're enjoying the day with your wife and new son. (Talking about my BS)

DH replies back: "Thanks, love you." (Knowing him, her snarky comment didn't even register to him.)

OSD replies back: "Maybe we can set something up so you can hang with one of your blood children one day. Seems like your always too busy."

Mmmmm kkkkk..... My BS was with his dad on Father's Day and had been with him the whole week prior.

DH is always "too busy" because he works and then he does side jobs and then he helps friends with stuff. There are days that I don't even see him until 9pm at night. Him being "too busy" has nothing to do with my BS.

My BS is the only kid that actually picked up the phone and called DH on Father's Day. BS11 decided on his own that it was important to call DH (even though he was with his bio dad) and wish him a Happy Father's Day since he wouldn't see him that day. BS had also bought DH a card with his own money and wrote something really nice in it. BS did all of that on his own.

I'm going to post a second blog about some crap that OSD started on Monday in a little bit. Very entertaining. Dirol

I just don't understand why so many divorced or NCdads are so afraid to speak up to their bratty kids.

Right. They are nothing but drama and chaos. I mean I know parents usually love their children no matter what but goodness when does it end.

Right? If my kids ever say anything like this to me, they will likely get a slap across the face and a super bitchy reply.

I don't understand the parents who let their kids speak to them this way. No wonder they're so entitled and obnoxious - one parent encourages the behavior and the target does nothing to correct it...

Same here. My kids father and I never permitted our kids to speak this way to either of us or anyone else.

SO did. YES, BM encouraged it. SO never corrected it in the beginning, but I sure as heck did. I would just call out their rude behaviour and let them know it was unacceptable and disrespectful.

My BS would NEVER speak to me or his father or DH like this. And if he did he would get his ass beat.

My BS's dad does not ignore him. :? Not sure where you got that information from. They have a GREAT relationship.

My SD make a snarky comment years ago about my niece, who DH adores (SD was about 11 when niece was born). SD got her ass handed to her by DH and she never said another sarcastic comment about our niece. She might have been hoping to make DH feel bad, and guilty, but that backfired, big time.

I'm not even sure how she feels okay bringing an innocent 11 year old into her drama with her Dad and me.

His reply, "Thanks, love you," is kind of funny, though, because she expected to hit him where it hurts and it either went over his head or he decided to ignore it, therefore affirming that yes, he has a new son. I bet his lack of reaction pissed her off even more.

How did he respond to the remark about spending time with his "blood children"?

She sounds like an angry 13 year old.

He didn't respond to that text.

Yeah his response was hilarious. And like BS is his "new" son. He's been in BS's life since BS was 5 1/2. He is about to be 12. There is nothing new about him. LOL.
