Since our little intervention with Ann, my other friends and I haven't heard a whole lot about Ann's life with Hot Tom, boyfriend extraordinaire, and his delightfully sassy cherubs. It's been nice, actually. Trying to avoid her at work was difficult, and hearing about all the drama was too much for me. But we do get tidbits here and there.

Apparently, Hottie started his amazing six-figure job last week and loves it. If that's true, good for him. If not, and he's lying to Ann to appease her, well, he's a good liar, and too bad for her. Apparently, this job is at one of the local city hospitals where he's some sort of marketing consultant or something. Ann always has wanted a man with money. And it looks he is indeed working, since...

Ann is not "the" nanny. Since Hottie started his job, he has since hired a "real" nanny to care for the children after school until he gets home. This "real" nanny is 32 and works as a personal trainer at the local YMCA. Hottie is paying her $10 an hour to babysit. Ann was quick to say she doesn't feel threatened, as "obviously a woman in her 30s with a career must be an idiot to babysit two kids for $10 an hour." OK.

We haven't been hearing all the gushy stories about the Amazing, Charming, Sassy, Go-Getter Swearing Mary and her OK little brother Luke. Either she's dialed that back a bit too, or the charm is wearing off. Not sure which, but at least she's been talking about her own kid a bit more, like she used to before meeting the Wonder Kids.

Anyway, that's all that we've heard with Ann lately. She's definitely not knocked up (yet_ so that's a plus.
