Ann May Be Having an Epiphany!

GhostWhoCooksDinner's picture

Can it be true? We shall see. For her sake (well, mainly for her son's sake) I hope so.

Hottie Tom's aunt passed away two days ago. The funeral will be on Thursday (in two days). Hottie asked Ann if she would babysit his kids so he could go to the funeral, as he doesn't want them there. Of course Nanny Ann said sure, of course I'll stay with the darling cherubs. However, she did offer to go with him to provide emotional support. Hottie's response? "I don't think so. I don't know why, I just don't think it would be a good idea?"

Ladies and gentlemen, I spelled it out for dear, dear Ann, and I think I literally saw a light bulb click on behind her eyes. You know what I said to her. I said exactly what's going to happen.

Why, dear fellow STers, why is Ann, the (supposed) woman in Hottie's life, barring her from the funeral? Three guesses....

So, Nanny Ann is going to babysit the cherubs, while Hot Tom and BM go to the aunt's funeral. Nice.

Because she never met the aunt? She is not part of his family yet?

Funerals are not places to introduce new partners.

We have winners! OF COURSE BM is going! I guarantee it. That's why they have a nanny. And BethAnne, Ann has met the aunt a number of times, as well as other family members. But I agree that a girlfriend of 4 months doesn't need to be at a funeral.

She did, and they do. As long as she's there to babysit their kids while she and her ex-husband play "couples" at funerals, apparently.

It also is a place to pick up chicks (see Seinfeld) Hottie Tom is probably looking for new grazing lands.

Don't forget "Wedding Crashers". Will Ferrell's character does the same thing. Crashes funerals to pick up chicks.

SMH....This is becoming a sick fascination with me!! I can't wait to hear more about the "Life of Ann"
Poor woman!!! I really do hope she gets a clue before it is too late.
Hopefully she starts to feel the pangs of resentment as she is strapped at home with the little cherubs while Hot Tom is at the funeral.
I predict he will ignore any and all attempts to contact him once he has confirmed that she does in fact have the little angels in her care.
He will come home extremely late or possibly stay out all night because he is just so torn up over the passing of dear old auntie.
When in reality he is living it up with some long lost cousins or shagging BM for old times sake.

Not that I wish that on any woman, but him being a douche canoe during the funeral could just be the straw that breaks Ann's rose colored glasses....

Hottie has all the emotional support he needs via BM. Ann is, was, and will remain being the Nanny. That is all.

I really think you hit the nail on the head. That's why BM gets along with her so well. She doesn't feel threatened at all- Ann's just the babysitter.

I've started to see a little of the pre-dickmatized Ann come out today. The old Ann, the sensible, smart one I was friends with pre-Hottie. I hope she breaks out completely from under the spell and gets the eff out, sees exactly what her place is in this one-sided "relationship."

Aren't his children old enough to be well behaved at a funeral? Why would he shield them from going to pay last respects to their great aunt? I mean if he and BM are both going to be there can't THEY be with their children. He's taking the easy way out by leaving his kids with Ann. No daddy duty and no awkwardness with BM.

I hope that Ann see's that her coming along being a bad idea, yet BM going is a good idea, is just the beginning. Tom is putting her in her place and she's staying like a good girl.
