On this weeks episode...

I almost couldn't contain my amusement but I did. Dh gets a call from sd15 Friday night with news news that bm bought her a purebred Australian shepherd dog. Please note that sd has had many pets over the years which many are given away because sd or bm lost their interest with them or were too much work. (I'm predicting that in less than 6 months it will be gone.)I feel sorry for the animals having to live with such stupidity. Anyway I was dying laughing when dh was telling me about it so my only response was "Huh".

I call this show "The Real Morons of My World". There are rumors of Grammy noms.

I know. That's what is so funny. Sd will loose interest in the dog cuz it's too much work and bm will have to take care of it. This will cause fights between sd and bm which dh will get hysterical late night calls about.

This coming weekend is her regular so she'll either be "sick" or want to bring the dog. (That will be the next episode.) Dh knows that there is no way any pet bm has gotten sd will be allowed in my home. Did that with her cat and had to clean up it's accidents.

What is it with these people and pets? BM does the same thing: collects multiple cats and dogs, then doesn't bother to care for any of them. Then they die or run away. (Can't blame them!) She can't afford groceries half the time, but the skids would always come to the house saying, "Guess what? We're getting another dog!"

What is it with the animal collecting? Apparently they don't realize these are living beings that need love and care. Geez, my cats are my other children!

i honestly think its a form of hoarding.

fiance's niece has a gazillion pets as well and when she doesnt want them anymore tehy try to give them away to us, her grandparents, etc. sad.

This is typical of bm. If sd wants something, bm will usually get it without thinking about long-term. Last animal she got her was a duckling and that lasted until it became too much work to clean up after. She still has a cat left but sd has very little good to say about it.

poor thing was probably bought at a pet store puppy mill too.
at least with shelters, they do their research and check your vet references, etc.

Knowing bm this is probably true. Guess they had to drive a couple hours away from home to get it. For someone who says she has no money bm can be pretty frivolous.

So dh just tells me that he got a text today from sd wanting to discuss this weekend which she is scheduled to come for her visit. He didn't hear anymore about it after asking her what she wanted to discuss. He said he has a feeling she wants to bring her dog. I politely told dh that I don't do this often but I am putting my foot down on the dog coming. He agreed that is what he wants too. I have a feeling sd will do whatever she can to get her way. I doubt he gives in since I made it clear I won't allow it. If she doesn't get her way, she could very well become sick and miss her visit. Oh darn.

I don't think my dh is not that stupid. That would be the straw that broke the camel's back cuz I would spend the weekend somewhere else and we would have a come to Jesus discussion after the weekend was over.

Dh will pick up sd alone so he'll have to do the honors (Sd lives 4 hours away so dh and bm meet in the middle). Sd did once bring a pet with her under the guise of bringing it to our house but dh stopped that cuz she didn't ask him. She had told bm that dh okayed it. Bm tends to buy sd pets and then says it has to come on weekend visits cuz she isn't going to take care of it. You bought it. Your problem.

Speaking of pets. I need to find an endearing pet name for sd. Suggestions?

So dh finally talked to sd last night and he was right. She wanted to bring the dog cuz she is potty training it. Dh told her no. But he left it open for her to possibly bring it when it gets older. Now I know it'll either be gone or she'll loose interest by then but I guess I wasn't clear enough for him when I said no dog. Guess I should have said EVER!

Finally! Score one for the little people.

Starting to plan my weekend. Thinking I will continue work on redecorating the master bedroom. Poor puke(this is what I'm calling her these day) will have to watch me get what I want cuz dh can't start on her room until we're done with ours. This may take some time as I have lots of things to do to it.

I'm sure there are things I need that I must go shopping for so I can't spend all the money leaving nothing left when puke wants something. Maybe I can get a puppy of my own.

Sally you'll get a kick out of this. Thus weekend is up in the air cuz puke may to stay home to make sure potty training is kept up on with dog. Puke is now the martyr since older sis won't do anything with dog since she didn't want it and Bm doesn't help that much. How convenient I say. Had to try really hard not to bust up laughing. Held my hand over my mouth to hold it back.

You are so lucky, I wish when BM brought home her stray pup that SS decided not to come over when we told BM no to him bringing over his new dog. Of course she then started asking for SS to be home before dark on Sundays so he could clean up the poop. HAHA.
