Bratty's Christmas vs My Christmas
So...after the recent drama around Bratty's visit that never happened (due their bringing their 'emotional support friend' who was deadly allergic to cats - and we have two cats - so yay, visit never happened LOL) - here is how Bratty spent their Christmas.
They went to their Aunt's house, who posted photos on social media. There was Bratty but still no Nutter GF there? I get confused since they keep saying they are 'partners' but Nutter GF did not come down with Bratty for their friends funeral. Also, no visit with Nutter GF to Nutter's family for the holidays they have all met before a couple of times)? I wonder if the family were like this 'friend' is a freeloader - but I don't know. It just seems strange since Nutter seems to not be present in a real 'partner' role. Also, last year we got a 'card' with a photo of Bratty, Nutter and the dog posing. Like Bratty was playing house. This year - no such card. Not even a gift for DH (of course - entitled brat she is). He didn't even get a 'Merry Christmas' text. There was suppposed to be a family zoom call, but we couldn't make it because our Christmas Day plans....
...were to go to a friends house who made the best prime rib EVER. Really we pigged out, drank nice wine, and enjoyed good company.
So...still not sure what is up with Bratty and Nutter but my feeling is this 'partnership' may not be long for the tooth - especially once Nutter realizes Bratty may not get into 'med school' as they have been saying they will all along.
We'll see...

My bet Nutter has distanced herself from Bratty. Maybe even broken up with her.

The lack of card, and not coming to the funeral is a key indicator.
You are probably right Nutter has come to realize that Bratty aint all that, and definitely not a Dr in training material.

The only chance Bratty has of
The only chance Bratty has of becoming a doctor is to apply to med school in the deepest backwaters of the planet. Even then, they may not accept her.
The only reason Goofy and Little Idiot are still together is they are both the same, mooches. Anyone successful would have dropped her like a hot potato. Even so, Goofy seems to occasionally tire of her.
Successful people typically aren't interested in supporting mooches.
I don't know... My XH is
I don't know... My XH is extremely driven and successful. When we split, he immediately allowed his mistress to move in with him and quit her job to be a "homemaker" (she has no children, so she's not a SAHM). It's been almost three years and he's financially supported her completely, she doesn't even have a car (a necessity where we live), nor does she have any friends or interests of her own. It makes no sense on the surface, but I think sometimes people who are successful and maybe somewhat insecure actually want someone who relies on them and doesn't have anything else going on in their life. Because then they feel like the other person won't/can't leave. Not saying that's definitely the case with Nutter and Bratty, but it seems plausible.
