Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

This just reminded me of a time I called in sick when I was 17 and my mom found out, knowing I just wanted to hang out with my friends. She called my work notified them that I was in fact not sick and told them id be there for my shift. Needless to say I was mortified but I really reconsidered ever calling in again, making sure I really was sick.

sounds like sd19. i'm so glad to not be around her while she's pregnant, as i'm sure it's a handicap, and she's unable to do absolutely anything. i'm surprised she's even still walking. she skipped school constantly. with fdh's blessing. i told him that all he was teaching her is that when she has a job, she can call in and still get a paycheck. it really irks me how he acts like the fact that she's a dumb bitch is ALL bm's fault. no honey, you had quite a hand in that yourself...
