OSD following in BM's footsteps.....

zerostepdrama's picture

Just found out that OSD is pregnant again. She just had a baby 6 months ago. I am not sure how far along she is.

BM and DH had skid1 (OSD21) and skid2 (SS20) 10 months apart.

OSD too got pregnant and then got married; same as DH and BM.

There are some pluses in that at least she isn't a teenager and at least they did the "right thing" and got married.

OSD's DH already has 2 daughters from a previous relationship. When OSD found out she was pregnant with baby#1 her and her husband moved away about 8 hours. Not sure why. I do know there are some issues with her DH not being able to see his kids as much as he would like.

DH and BM did this same thing (minus other kids from a prior relationship)- got pregnant, got married young, had kids back to back and then ended up in misery for 16 years while they had 2 more kids but stayed together "for the kids".

Different strokes for different folks but I just can't seem to stop thinking... this is just like BM.....

So this will make grandbaby #3 in about a year.

My SD22 has 2 kids that are exactly 1 year, 2 weeks apart. She did get married a couple of months before the first one was born but when she told us she was pregnant again, I was thinking, "You do know how this happens, right?" I mean, they were teenagers and couldn't afford the one that they had.

Now, she is divorced and living with BM. I feel sorry for the kids.

I'm trying not to be judgmental because who knows they could live a very happy wonderful life. But I know they are getting WIC at least. So if you are already on WIC- meaning you can't afford to feed your child....why oh why are you having another one?

Some greedy people get WIC because they can, not because they have to. The income guidelines for WIC are pretty darn high.

They allow the government to pay for the necessities while they take care of the wants.

I belong to a disney vacation planning site. It amazes me the number of people there who will post that they get WIC or free lunch, yet manage to take their families to disney world each year.

One woman wanted to know if her food stamp card would work in Orlando. They were flying from New England, staying onsite in a deluxe resort, with the dining plan and fully loaded park passes.

Education begets responsibility, ignorance just breeds.
