A confession

MSD used to steal from me. (She is no longer welcomed in my home, so thankfully its been awhile since I have had to deal with it.)

It went on for months. I would mention to DH that something of mine was missing and he would accuse everything and everyone except MSD.

Even though he knew she had a HISTORY of stealing. That she was the only one in the house when an item came up missing, etc.

When she was finally caught, he even admitted to me that he just couldnt believe that she would steal from me....

The stealing issue, him defending her, her KNOWING he was defending her and she would keep doing it, him accusing me of being forgetful, or losing my own stuff- IT MADE ME CRAZY! Like really crazy, kicking him out of the house, we are breaking up crazy.

So DH has this money jar. He puts bills and change into it. It's his, so I dont even touch it.

However, when the stealing was going on, I would take a $20 bill here and there.

So basically as soon as I reported the missing item to him and gave all my evidence of why I KNEW it was MSD, and he would then tell me "You must have misplaced it." I would then go into the jar when he wasn't looking and take money out of it. I didnt even feel guilty.

Not sure if he ever noticed and if he did, if he thought it was me. Even though I wasnt trying to set up MSD as the thief, in a way I hoped that he would think it was her.

Now technically since we are together, what's his is mine, right? So it wasn't stealing from my own husband. LOL.

It felt good. I would take the $20, go get lunch or a bottle of wine or buy myself something new. It would make me feel a little bit better about the situation.

Lol. I like it. But there wouldn't be any satisfaction in it for me. I would rather take something from the skid who did it... not something that wouldn't be noticed, something they would miss badly.

The thought had crossed my mind but I just couldnt bring myself to go into her personal belongings and take her stuff. If she lived here, that would be different but since she was just visiting at the time.... She never left anything out... otherwise it would have came up missing Smile

SD6 doesn't like to share so sometimes I buy BD2 something similar. Most of the time, SD6 then takes over both, refusing to share with BD2, even BD2's possession. I'm guilty of sneaking and getting rid of SD6's. I did this with this purse she carried around. I bought BD2 her own purse which SD6 in typical fashion tried to take over and not share with BD2. Yes...one night when I ran up town late, I took that little bitches purse and threw it out the window. Bye, bye SD6's purse! I convinced her that I had her take it home because of the refusal to share.

Reading that, it sounds much crueler than what you did. But ya know what? I don't feel guilty either. I'm sick of her using BD2's things, sometimes even breaking them, but not ever sharing hers. The purse thing was the biggest thing they argued over. Next up? A child size pair of hockey sticks that SD6 likes to use as hitting sticks. F*ck those hockey sticks.
