Keep Minding My Own Business

Not really looking for advice bc I know I need to continue minding my own damn business but WHEW it's hard. As a fixer/planner it's SOOO hard to mind my own damn business.

The biggest obstacle I've had to overcome as a stepparent is to learn how to mine my OWN damn business. If it doesn't involve my time or money (separate funds), I force myself not to care.

SD is getting to the age that she should schedule university appointments and get a financial overview to make an informed decision. University in our town offers the specialized major she is considering but it's a tough program. BM town has a good university but major SD is considering isn't their niche. I have a lot of anxiety bc my degree is fuxking useless (might as well be underwater basket weaving) and I don't want her to choose something useless. I did the whole college thing by myself and think I could have avoided a lot of grief I caused myself with a little guidance.

I find myself asking my hubby if he has told skid that she qualifies for a tuition break at our town university since hubs is an alumni, so it's an option. Then I have to reign it in and mind my own damn business. We could easily help skid pay for university with the monthly amount CS is going to be reduced by once she ages out. We are already used to not having that money.

I sent hubby summer camps that emmerse kids in what skid wants to do basically to see if she actually likes it. Send SS to a coding camp bc he wants to be a professional YouTuber bc i picture a 30 yr old in our basement yelling "Ma bring the meatloaf". <https://youtu.be/S1LZnwxpRmg> But I won't follow up, that was just me having a relapse.

I'm disengaged from BM so I have no idea what she is up to and it's glorious.

Once you start it's like you own them.  College, books, spending money,  what ever,  Then they on on the 10 year plan to finish.  Not there fault, fail first course can not take it over until next year, not being offered this year.  Teacher made me do it.
 Mind your own business.  They
