O/T....DH did something truly amazing last night

DH & I have been married for 10 years in June of this year. DH was never able to buy my an engagement ring because of the amount of CS he was paying out. Well, I found this ring at WalMart shortly before Christmas, that I just fell in love with. I showed it to DH and said "ya know, you could put it on lay-a-way and pay a little at a time until it's paid off and give it to me for our 10th anniversary." Well to my surprise, DH did. DH then surprised me again when we got our tax return back in Feb. and paid it off. The ring had to be sent away to be resized. Well while I was at WalMart yesterday, I stopped by the jewelry dept. and asked if it was back yet or if they knew when it would be back. It wasn't back yet, but the lady said it might be back by the weekend. So I finished my shopping and came home. I was only home like 10 minutes and the phone rang. It was WalMart, wanting to let my husband know his order was in. I sent DH a txt that my ring was back. So it went a while and DH called me around 3:30pm yesterday. We did our normal chit chat that we do almost everyday while he is on his way home from work. Then we started talking about my ring and how I needed to go back to WalMart after supper cause SD16 remembered that she needed something else for her OKC trip and that DH could just give me the receipt and I'll pick it up. DH did his normal, picking on me about it and said "maybe I will give the receipt to ya." LOL I was like ok, whatever, see ya when ya get home. So DH gets home, brings in all his work stuff and goes back outside. I didn't think nothing of it and went back to making supper. A few seconds later, I hear a knock at the door. Now mind you, I was in the middle of making supper. I started complaining "wtf is he doing, why is he knocking on the door, he brought everything in." I'm saying all this as I'm walking to the door to open it. I open the door and there is DH on 1 knee with my ring in one hand and a dozen roses in the other and asks "will you marry me, again?" Tears filled my eyes and of course I said yes. My DH does not do anything like this for me ever. He has only ever surprised me a few times over the past 12 years of us being together. Little did I know, an hour after I sent DH the txt, he got off work early and when he called me, he was on his way home from WalMart, not work. Later last night, DH said he heard me complaining about him knocking on the door and he said he barely made it to his knee before I opened because he was laughing so hard. I just had to share this romantic thing DH did with everyone. It made my day yesterday. I was not expecting it at all and really didn't expect to get my ring before our anniversary. I figured DH would pick it up, but wait till June to give it to me.

It was truly sweet. Tho I am a little embarrassed that DH heard me complaining the whole way to the door. But it is very rare that DH does something like this. Plus DH knows how I to be interrupted while I'm cooking. I think DH deserves a "DH of the month" award for this one. LOL! I just can't believe that after 12 years of being together and 10 years of marriage, I finally have my engagement ring. Smile
