One more day, One more day......

We have had SD8 since Friday of last week, she is with us through tonight. DH added Monday night to our normal time so she would be with us on Passover. Ok, fine...whatever.

She has been a real PIA all weekend. I have renamed her Princess Pain in the Ass.

Saturday we took my DS17 to get his first car - it was very cool Smile
Once we finally left the dealership, we headed to dinner. She told DH that she did not like the place he and I chose and she was not going to eat anything. We were both like...um, ok. Of course she ate half the appetizers on the table, so much bread I had to take it away and all of her fish and chips. I guess she really hated it. Little bitch.

Sunday night we had 14 people over for dinner and she clogs the toilet in the guest bath. She came and told me - I said go tell your Dad, I am not dealing with that. What 8 year old clogs up a toilet? Gross

This morning, she turns off the bathroom light while my DD9 is still in there brushing her teeth. She thought it was funny, I did not.

DH and I had the conversation where I used the phrase I have learned on this site. "Honey, unlike you I do not think your child arrived on the back of a Unicorn with a rainbow shooting out of her ass" Do something about her behavior or I am going to lose it.

She makes me crazy. She is overweight, smelly, refuses to wear socks with her shoes and hates to brush her hair and has the worst table manners known to man.

Thank god in Heaven, we have no children this weekend. If I make it through tonight I am home free.

Thanks for letting me vent.

I forgot the one funny thing that happened this weekend. We have a new dog that is not completely housebroken and it had an accident at the top of the back staircase. She came down to tell us that the dog had accident - I said, "ok, grab a paper towel and clean it up"

The look on her face was priceless! How dare I ask her to do something like that? She did it and I was giggling the entire time. It is the little victories that get us through I guess.

My dog always manages to poo in SS' bedroom or his bathroom. Rarely in any other room. Understandably he's upset, but he cleans it up. I've stopped apologizing, and now knowing SS doesn't like me, doesn't want me horning in on his daddy time, every time he tells us what my dog did, I have to try hard not to smirk. It's my own pathetic poetic justice with this surly lazy clingy teenager who tries to drive a wedge between me and my SO.

I'm filing the unicorn comment away for future use. Prefaced by, I don't hate your son, I just don't believe....unicorn...rainbow, etc.

Thank you!

My other favorite I learned on here is...Sweet Tapping Dancing Jesus!

Holy cow, I laughed and laughed when I read that one.
