SD needs....

So we had a fairly good weekend with SD. Well early yesterday morning, BM text me telling me SD needed winter clothes and shoes. Now when DH and I had her birthday party last week, I was nice and gave BM a few shirts, a few pairs of pants, and a set of pjs that SD received at her party. I kept the rest for when we have her (BM never sends clothes that match or are too small). Now I know for fact she had just recently cashed about 2 months worth of child support checks so the fact she was pretty much asking me to buy her clothes for SD kind of seemed odd. DH and I took SD out and bought her a new long, sleeved top with pants and 2 pairs of shoes that were on sale. Once we got out to the car, I took all the tags off the items so that BM couldn't return them. And sure enough, when we dropped SD off and I handed her the items, she asked where the tags and receipt were. I told her I took the liberty of removing the tags for her and was keeping the receipt for our personal records. Her only reply was "oh". For some reason she assumed we would just give her money for the clothes (even tho we have never done that). DH told her he'd buy what SD needs when she needs it but he does pay child support and he can't help if she chooses not to cash the checks. BM just made a dart comment and went into the house with SD. I swear she is mentally challenged sometimes

Never give them money! We take the tags off also, we have caught BM returning items and not replacing them but instead taking herself on a little shopping spree for herself.

DH pays a lot in CS and BM never uses it for the skids, just lives off it. Skids are always in need of clothes and shoes. We do what we can for the skids but we are not handing over extra money to BM to do the shopping.

The Gorilla (BM) is the same way. She had the nerve to ask DH for $500 for back to school supplies for SS6. He's 6 what could he possibly need that costs $500?
They are so money hungry it's crazy.

SD needs winter clothes.

OK, well I will keep an eye out for some good sale so you can make the most of your child support money.

I was honestly curious to see her response when we gave her the clothes without tags. Sure enough she wanted to know why they were gone and if she could have the receipt. I know in the past she has taken clothes that his family bought to Good Will...I mean brand new clothes with tags. I was proud DH brought up the child support.
