Might need a go-fund me set up

Just spent almost $1,500 plane tickets this morning. I swear to DOG that if she isn't found guilty of contempt in 2 weeks I will need a bail money fund set up. 

I have a lot of faith after talking to our lawyer yesterday. DH does too. I am just irritated that it cost that much which is cutting into our summer vacation- finally a honeymoon fund that we have going right now. Grrrr... If she is guilty it will all be worth it.

I know this has been a frustrating time and have faith BM will be held accountable.

If she's found guilty and ordered to pay for expenses you incurred, will DH be able to offset CS, or is there some other way to force her to pay, or will she just be in contempt of that with no enforcement, as it's been so far?

They most likely slap her hand. Maybe hard or not.  You are not going to recover any money. Courts can't not lower CS. That is for the kid not the BM.  Can't have the kid starving because BM did something.

Ever think, that BM and your DH went on a honeymoon.  With out any drama, with out SS,  that you are putting time and money into a losing war. And it's is a war.  Your side against BM side.   As you get older you will start regarding all the time, money and drama.
Courts are not going to take money away from the kid to pay for BM mistakes. so most like,bif you win money you will not be able to collect it.  Winning is one thing. Collecting money is another think

They never took a honeymoon or any vacation for that matter. They only ever went to visit family. DH has been amazed with my prioritizing vacation funds in our budget. We do a small one every other year and a BIG one every other year. We just haven't done a honeymoon yet. Between the kids and the needs of the Navy it hasn't been an option. We were really hoping that we could finally do it in June. We still should be able to.

I am sure that we will never get that money from her but we can do things like be able to claim SS on taxes for the next 3 years which would be 4K roughly for us. I also have a great debt collector that I use at work. At this point I don't care if they take 1/2 of it as long as she pays for it. They will seize her bank account from time to time to get what they can. I am all in for that!

I will contribute to the bail fund!

And contempt of court charges lead to my DH getting custody. Pretty similar to what bio in your life is doing..
