been a while!

Hi all! If you remember me, I'd love you to post here and tell me how things are going for you Smile

Its been so hard to get online. Between work (which i felt was in jeopardy for a while) and home with the baby its so hard to keep up with things. Baby boy is 9 months old and I adore him.

SO moved to another state for a while for work, he comes home on weekends. We make plans to see skids for a meal outing since its a long drive for him to come home, then go get them too.

SD17 is still clingy with dad. I am still disengaged. It has just worked for me and continues to. I'm sorry sometimes for SO that things are so separate for him, but he kinda made his own bed on that one. SS14 continues to impress me with his motivation and good behavior. He's very respectful.

SD still is not. SO does not come home until saturdays and she just invited herself, ss and SO's mom to our home friday evening. No one has asked or said a word to me. Its amazing how for months I have managed to separate myself and remain unaffected by her, yet she does this and it sends me reeling. Luckily I'm more bold than I used to be, so if SO doesnt' take care of this by Wednesday, I will be telling him that they cannot come when he isn't here. That's just silly.

Honestly, been enjoying the peace during the week with just me and my son. We miss SO, but its just calmer. Especially with no skids running around.

Oh my gosh, time has flown! How can your baby be 9 months already? Lol!

Glad to hear you're doing well, but sorry your SO has to be gone for work so much. Yay for no skids, though!

I agree time has flown!!!! I'm actually liking the no SO sometimes. its almost like a break. He's high maintenance.

They all really like him. SS is really sweet playing a big brother role. SD plays with him, but you can tell she has no idea how to talk to a baby. And everything is self centered. "oh he doesn't remember me, oh he doesn't know me"
I honestly cringe when she holds him.

SO's mom has 7 grandkids including one that is a few weeks younger than my LO. its annoying because she's always comparing them and the other one was born with health problems and has a lot of issues (that poor babys' parents are another story all together).
