Wow BM!

HadEnoughx5's picture

Found out today that BM is playing the system again. I get so angry when people commit fraud and there are people out there who truly need services.

DH agreed to pay 1/2 of the skids hot meal lunches back in 2011. They agreed that each would put $100.00 into each of the 3 skids lunch accounts. When they got an alert that the accounts were low, they would put in another $100 each.

Today, I heard our computer giving out alerts like someones email account was open. So I checked and it was DH's email. I looked into his account and saw one he sent to BM. He told her that one of the skids accounts was low and was time to put money in. She replied and said the skids get free lunches because of her income.

BM has chosen to not work since 2006, She gets 30k in child support from DH, she gets 45k in death benefits from the skids deceased step-father (for the skids) and she gets 15k for another kid she had with another guy in 2010. Add it up and it's 90k, tax free. Lives in a fully paid 2600 sq ft. house and drives 2 Lincolns and bought mini me a Mercedes Benz convertible (used)

But gets FREE lunches for the skids!

some school systems give free lunch to all kids now so that no one will be embarrassed by the stigma.

I work in a customer care center representing car dealerships. I had to make contact with a prospective buyer on Monday. He asked me if owing child support would cause him not to qualify for financing. He was looking at a 2016 Dodge Challenger Scatpack.....$74k out the door. I asked him if he was in arrears on his child support since that can cause garnishment. He stated that he was $42k behind.

Some days I really wish I could violate the trust my employer has in me....and let the world know how scumbaggy some people are.

Unless you know the social economic status of the whole school, you can't be sure that she is cheating. No one in my school has to pay for lunch. The large number of students who are eligible for the free lunch program, allows us to be part if a program that covers all of our students. So the kids living in a shelter and the kid who has a dad that is a high school AP and a mom who is is a teacher at our school, all receive free breakfast and lunch.

Our school now does free breakfast for everyone. They've been discussing increasing registration fees to allow for lunches to be free as well as part of a No Hungry Child campaign, though it hasn't passed thus far. Even though free lunches are available to a those below a certain income there are still kids skipping lunch or only eating the free PB&J offered by the school.

My guess SS17 isn't buying lunch but using his account for snacks. SS15 is probably getting the free lunch and eating more with the lunch account.

The school may have "forced" all parents to fill out the lunch. Title I funds are allocated based on the income levels of the student body. The only way to gather social economic data is to have all families complete the lunch forms. If you think your school has a shot at that Title I money, then you will do everything thing you can to get all families to turn those forms in.

In our district everyone has to fill one out even if you know there's no way you qualify.

HadEnoughx5's picture

Our form is a state form. Parents have to fill it out to get help. I read the form and you're supposed to fill out any income that comes into the house. If you put nothing they assume a zero. Knowing BM if she got caught, she would say it was an error and she "forgot" to put an amount in there or that she thought it meant blah, blah, blah.

She had no problem committing fraud on her financial affidavit for court, she'd have no problem committing fraud on this.

Not every woman values education and career and other finer things. Some people are ok
with very basic existence

I went and looked up what you were talking about regarding working mothers and here's the discussion article. Basically, daughters benefit from having a mother who ever (and that could mean just a few months one year, or 60 hours per week the entire time) worked for pay during the time the daughter was 0-14. And that held true across 24 countries. Interesting!

I know so much because of court and she committed fraud on her financial affidavit too

DH's never ever worked outside of few months here and there. They have two kids who are long grown. She now receives very nice alimony from DH (6 years left to pay) and lives in subsidized housing and works 15 hours a week minimum wages job.

Livingoutloud's picture

A very long time, over 25 years, that's why he has to pay (total of 10 years, I forgot maybe 9) as judge said it "gives her time to get on her feet". When DH said that she has college degree and it's and always was her choice not to work . BMs lawyer said her degree is useless and she needs something else to be able to survive. Well so far she continues working 15 hours a week minimum wages and live in subsidized housing and get alimony. She isn't bettering herself at all.

BM has an associate's degree, made 40k working in the town hall. When she left the job, she got a package deal where she gets medical benefits. When BM left her job as a teachers para in 2006 she told the skids that people weren't nice to her Sad

It's too bad they don't make it a requirement for her to continue to receive the alimony, that she has to show that she is trying to better herself and that she is working towards something (I believe the same should be done with welfare).

What is she going to do when it stops? She will probably somehow try to get some kind of government assistance. Or, maybe by that time, she will be old enough to apply for your DH's social security?

HadEnoughx5's picture

She won't be able to get DH's social security because she married again. Just wish she'd get caught and let karma smack her in the face!

HadEnoughx5's picture

I never said she got alimony when she remarried. She got it because she never reported she got married and tried to steal from DH. He found out from where she previously worked and they told DH because they new she was a gold digger. He brought her to court to get the monies she stole and got it!

HadEnoughx5's picture

BM in my case, secretly married the guy who she knew had terminal cancer, because her alimony was ending, So she stole about 3k from DH. Went back to court and her lawyer advised her to pay it back.
