Weekend of Drama...

This past weekend DH and I traveled 4 hours to watch SS15 play in a tournament. It was BM's weekend and just the 2 of them went. Before leaving SS15 texts me about what time I would be dropping off the bags. So I dropped off his equipment bag early before bringing his brother back (SS16). When I did drop off SS16 I saw that SS15's bag was gone and that he and BM had already left.

3 hours into our travel we get a phone call from SS15 saying he didn't have his game uniform. So we asked where is it? He proceeds to tell us it's in his other clothes bag. So I asked why is it in there? You always have all your game gear in your equipment bag. Of course he then says "well my other bag was next to my game bag".

SS wanted us to turn around to get his uniform! I was so proud of DH when he said no, BM will have to drive back and get it.

After we get off the phone DH asks me where his bags were when I went to take it over. I said they were in his room. He says they weren't in the garage? I said no, I found it in his room. DH was like "well if he did what I told him to do, his bags would've been in the car"

Well, several phone calls pursued after the initial call. SS15 got snottier and demanding. Telling us there better be someone at our home to get the bag out or to unlock the doors because his BM is driving 4 hours back to get it. "I'm just telling you". I said to him your BM has 4 hours to get to our home, theres plenty of time for me to get some one. And just because your BM is pissed off, doesn't mean you have to be pissed off at us.

So, SD17 (who's not allowed in our home) gets into our "locked" home, gets the bag, just before my daughter arrives. My daughter see's SD's flip flops outside. When my daughter is done looking for the bag that was now gone, she notices that SD had gone back to the house to get her flip flops. SD then drives 2 hours to meet BM to give her the bag.

So I texted SS15 and said how did SD get into the house? His reply "I don't really care how she got in, I've got my bag."

SS15 didn't speak to us for the whole weekend and BM smirked the whole time. Bitch.

So once again SM is to blame. This ought to be a fun weekend for us Smile

At the end of the first day, one of the players was injured and I was talking to his Dad while BM was standing near us. The Dad was complaining that his son was not listening to him. I said to him "Of course you don't know anything because teenagers know everything!" I made sure that bitch heard it. }:)

I would not have handled someone in my home who doesn't have keys or access. As for SS, he's old enough to have packed his things properly.

Yup.

1. DH told him to put his stuff in the garage that was going back to BM's (something we have been doing since last August)
2. I texted SS before dropping off the bag, no response.
3. There was one bag on BM's porch. (Wouldn't that ring a bell?)
4. BM could have spoken with him about making sure his stuff was in the car.
5. Whoever packed the car would see one bag.
6. Your weekend BM, your responsibility.

Time to change the locks and do a good security check if SD was able to get in so easily.

Also, take back SS's keys if he has any.

Id be expecting DH to tear him a new one when he is next with you over that attitude too.

What you said, babybugged.

I was raised to be polite and have manners. If I didn't like something my Mom cooked, I ate more of something else on the table. I got tired of the skids comparing my cooking to - of all bloody things - pre-made, chemical-laden, frozen crap. And that the crap tasted better. I haven't cooked so much as a piece of toast. This stepmonster's days of doing ANYTHING for the skids is long over. No homemade meals, no homemade COOKIES, cakes, or pies (and it's killing them). No being at the house before Daaaadddee comes home. No rides to anywhere for anything. No thoughtful, just-because gifts (a book or t-shirt I know they'll like). Nothing. Zilch. Zero. Nada.

I would have called the cops on the little twat for trespassing and theft. Even if he couldn't arrest her, he could have given her a good scare to think about the next time either skids think its okay to just pop in your home.
