Just the housekeeper/nanny....

Dealing_with_Drama's picture

I just had an epiphany...I am noting more then a housekeeper/nanny. My husband came home from work and immediatley got changed to go to basketball wih my son. Now I know you are thinking, how nice, but come on ladies...we all know that he is doing it because he looks good in the community if he is coaching a youth sport. He tells me he is leaving the SS here. I have had him ALL DAY. He has already peed in the bed and almost pooped his pants. I am currently on my 3 load of laundry- I still have about 8 to put up and I need to unload the dishwasher so that he can stack his dirty dishes in the sink. Just venting....Thanks.

I think we all feel that way sometimes maybe more than not.Why dont you introduce a date nite for just the 2 of you that gives you a chance to talk and regenerate yourself for the week ahead.Even if its just a drive or a walk but something that is just for you and your husband and no kids allowed. We all need that to reconnect with our spouses and ourselves it is not healthy to be doing the samething everyday you will fall into a rut.I tell my husband that we are the base of this family and if it cracks everything else will to like dominos.

know how you feel. My day starts at 6 am when I wake my son up for school, get him up, fed, and out the door. Shower, get ready for work, wake DH up sometime in this process. Go drop off my daughter with my sister in law, go to work, work all day, go pick daugther back up, go home......then the fun really begins. Cook, clean, laundry, homework, baths, etc. Then DH will wonder why your not in the mood? LOL! Women are busy by nature. Men just dont' get it.

Even when BIL and SIL were down this weekend I noticed she always got thier daughter ready, he didn't even think of it. Like he just knew she would do it. And my DH is the same way. I get me ready and the kids but it never fails that before we walk out the door he says, did you get the baby bag...some bottles....juice cup? Duh DH..don't I always!

You are right though, sometimes it'll get to you. Take a night off. The laundry will still be there....and if the boys are hungry enough they'll find something to eat.
