Help

I need some help in getting away from a really really bad situation. And when I say getting away, I mean me and my children permanently getting away. If you have read my blog, you will understand what I am talking about. And for an update, multiply how hellish it was times 100, that is what we are now living in. If you have info like this, please contact me as a friend, so we can communicate privately. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks

You received good advice in your previous blog.

I'm not sure what "ways the lawyers don't tell you about" that you're referring to... illegal ones?

First, is your DH physically abusing you? If so, report it. Every time. The documentation is the ONLY thing they will accept as proof. (By documentation, I mean medical records, police reports, etc. NOT you keeping a record in a notebook.)

Is he abusing your child(ren)? (I thought you only had one.) If not, you have an uphill battle. There have been cases where the father is proven to have abused the mother, and shares custody because he never abused the kids. Sad

In my case, I knew there was a chance that XH would not get supervised visits because he didn't hit the kids. I stayed until the were old enough to defend themselves/alert m as to what was happening.

The first step is physically leaving the house. Pack a bag or 2, take your kid(s) and go to your parents. Go to a siblings. Just. Go. Don't think about it for another minute. Call someone to pick you up, if it helps. Just one foot at a time, leave your house. Message me if you want and I can be a support system for you.
