Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

I'm 52 and that doesn't
I'm 52 and that doesn't bother me as much as how old my kids are.
Remember when we thought 50 was over the hill, sit in our chairs and wait to retire. Now I have more money and want to do shit!
Can't drink the way I did in my 20's LOL.
I feel you; I can hardly
I feel you; I can hardly believe I'm 40 already! My brain still hasn't updated!
Yeah, I still want to do
Yeah, I still want to do stuff. And dammit I'm going to, it freaks the younger people out. I turned 50 last year.
I'm glad it isn't just me!!!
I'm glad it isn't just me!!! I do feel it when I'm running up and down stairs. I've come to realize I need that handrail the insurance dude said to put in and I laughed at him for it.
I am going to be 45 this
I am going to be 45 this summer. I know what you mean about the child's age freaking a person out. My son is going to be a quarter of a century this summer.
When I was young, I had plenty of energy but no money. Now I have plenty of money but absolutely no energy to do anything. I ache everywhere. I am too young to feel this old!
