Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

i don't even ask about ags grades anymore, they lie about it anyway and somehow we NEVER see a report card....

I periodically check grades on line, waiting for the "other shoe" to drop. I predict that soon VD's behaviour will be out of control and the Behemoth, who has done 90% of the damage, will want GG to "fix it" at MY house!!!

I dont understand how the courts dont take that into it as a factor. I wish that there was a requirement that if they fail that bad custody is turned over to the other parent, It is plain to see that he Parent responsible isn't doing their job. School isnt hard. you get credit for just turning in crap. you have to try and fail these days.

Grades sound reminiscent of my SD15. She has a wonderful career around the corner - - - as a checkout girl in Tescos.

As to be expected, right?
SO hasn't said word to me about the details, but when he found out progress reports were out he called SD immediately. I heard him say, "what test" then say "well you are going to have to stay ahead of this and get some extra help". I'm guessing she messed up on a test. We'll see if she continues to turn in her homework since daaaad said no to the car at 16.
