MY DH is the biggest Dumbass, pushover I have ever seen. Leech strikes again

24 years as a SM's picture

DH is reverting a litle bit back to the Disney Dad with SD37, the Leech. Leech whined to daddee that she will not get a pay check until next week and has no food in the house for SGD9 to eat. She only needs enough food until April 8th, DAH(DumbAss Husband) takes her shopping for a weeks worth of groceries. DAH doesn't realize that I can check our checking account in real time for any activity. So DAH spent $395.01 for ONE WEEK of groceries. What in the every loving F did she buy? I spend around $600 a month for 5 people, 3 adults and two teenage boys, that are human garbage disposals.

DAH brought me the receipt from shopping and told me that I need to transfer some money from his savings into the joint checking, I told him that the money will be transferred to my savings account as part of our agreement. DAH hangs his head in shame and says okay how much this time. I told him 10 time what he spent, $3,950.10. Our agreement is that any money he spends on Leech, I transfer 10 times that amount to my savings account, this keeps him in check from spending too much money on her.

I start looking at the receipt and almost throat punched him. Explain to me how 3 people can eat this much meat and other crap in one week.

5 Tri Tips, 10 lbs of chicken breast, 5 lbs of hamburger, 4 packages of boneless pork chops, 3 packages of Rib Eye Steaks, 4 jars of Nutella at 6.98 each, 6 Avocados,  this is just a few of the items, the total number of items is 165. One one that really pissed me off is REDBULL, really bitch, you whine to daddy about not having any food in the house for SGD9 to eat and you buy effen REDBULL!!!

Sorry, my head is about to explode, I want to kick him in the balls about 20 time right now. Taking Deep Breaths so I don't beat this man within a inch of his life.

Bought in bulk and would spend about $300 to cover for 3 months for 2 adults...

add in say $150 of veggies and fruits for the month thats an average of $62.5 for a week. So you’re saying he spent about just over 6 times what i spent?

my costs are also first grade products and fruits veggies from a farmers market. Seriously when you chuck a hissy fit you don’t have enough money for groceries you lay down the facts. Nutella, redbull are not things you need to survive on and this daughter of his has basically stocked up on luxury items

I have always budgeted for food in my house, when I was a single mom I learned very quickly to be careful with my budget. We split the cost of raising a steer and one pig with a neighbor, so our meat cost is not very high. DAH could have taken Leech some of the meat we have here at the house, but nope, DAH got played again.

Leech just abused DAH generosity and his concern for SGD9. This is a never ending cycle with her. Her so called boss is someone that I know, so I called to ask when Leech is getting paid, Leech told DAH that she started working for them two week ago, she's not working for them, they never heard from her or got an application from her. She's nothing but a liar.

I’m a bad ass now. Facts like this hell yeah i will pass onto hubby. Screw it if he gets upset. He’s getting played and needs his head out of his arse from under the sand and into reality.

took me over 4 yrs to do this and get hubby to see some of reality and start making active changes

Wait let me make sure this wasnt a typo...shes 37?!?

Omg. Daddy should have given her info for the nearest emergency food pantry for a weeks worth of food she doesnt get to pick and make it less comfortable for her to be irresponsible. Maybe contribute directly a small amount to SGD school lunch account so shes getting meals there if necessary.

Leech doesn't want any of her friends seeing her at the food pantries. She would be mortified if any of her fake friends knew that she is leeching off her dad. I so badly want to blast her on Facebook, so all her friends can see what a POS she is, but I will not stoop to her level. Plus all it wouuld do is cause more issues with DH and her, she would withhold SGD9 from DAH.

thats it...holy crap....you are now my new hero for taking 10x out!!!

Over the last year I have transferred over $25,000 from his savings, because he thinks he's helping her. DAH just doesn't get it, and is a total ostrich with his head in the sand for a while, then he will see the light and stop helping her. Giving her anything will not help her, she's the type of person that will Leech off of family and anyone that she can use. No one will let her hit rock bottom.

I think it’s hilarious that your DAH has to pay you 10x what he spends on her! Amazing. (Per previous blogs, I will dare to use amazing in this scenario)

3 packages of rib-eye steaks and 4 jars of Nutella???  He deserves a throat punch for those items alone. Who the f*ck expects to eat rib-eye steak when they can’t even buy groceries for themself? I believe the unspoken rule of taking charity is that you take only what is needed. Unless you are a high-maintenance leech I guess.    *unknw*

We have been talking about this waste of money and how to solve the problem with her lying to him. I told DAH there is no way to solve the issue now, between him and BM being shitty parents thinking that Leech was a special snowflake when she was little, there is no way that she is going to change. All we can do from now on, is whenever she says she has no food in the house, is to refer her to the food bank and church food pantries in the area.

I know that Leech will blame me for this, but I don't care, I am so tired of her abusing DAH generosity. At least with me transferring the 10 times the amount he spends on her, in the future, he will have some savings, but he won't be able to touch it without coming to me first.

I spend about $600-650 a month. For six people, four of them who pack lunches.  That’s including toiletries, tissue, laundry stuff...not just junk food and steak!!!

If it were once in a great, great while, I wouldn’t mind helping my kids out, especially with food. But it sounds like SD and her bum husband use everybody all the time...

Wooowwww

Kudos to you for charging DAH 10x the amount he blows on his waste of space daughter!  I don't agree he got played though, he knows exactly what his kid was doing... steaks, pounds & poounds of meat, and 4 jars of nutella???  Give me a flipping break. He's as guilty as she is.

I'd have bought them a couple loaves of bread & a jar of peanut butter, if anything at all.

Unbelievable. Almost $400 for 3 people for a week? That's just utterly insane.

4 jars of Nutella?

TwelveLongYrs79's picture

are they just jamming their fingers in and eating it straight from the jar?!

Nearly $400 for ONE week for THREE PEOPLE?!?!  H3LL NO!!!

I went on Walmart's grocery website and added 40 items in the cart for just under $50 that would've lasted them a week easily...AND it included toiletries!  Your DH is ridiculous.

Just for fun lets see what people can come up with.  My list:

20 oz bag of pretzels - $1.98

16 oz pasta - $1

12 eggs - $.98

16oz Imperial spread - $1.66

10 bananas - $1.76

But coooookies that stuff doesn't taste as good as prime rib provided by DADDDEEEEE!

Cooooookies's picture

Yeah nothing tastes better than screwing The Wallet for some top dollar foods!!!

He should give them my list next time and watch their greedy faces...

Wow, yes your DH is being a dumbass, I'm glad you have your 10x into savings rule in place.  Good grief.  I'm angry for you.  That food would last me and my family of 5 a month at least.  I make decent money and I rarely buy steak unless it is a great deal.  It is like a treat.  She took full advantage and DAH let her.  Is it possible your DAH knows that she really isn't working so wanted to get her more than a week's worth of food and was to ashamed to admit that to you!?!?

I still can't get over how a mooch feels entitled to take so much.  When I was a struggling single mom and much younger than that I got super creative with what I could afford.  I had way to much pride to ask anyone for help and if someone had offered there is NO WAY IN HELL I would take that much of their money.  I would be ashamed!  Ugh!  I feel like this is how my SD will be but we don't have that kind of money to help her.  I do secretly hope she mooches off of BM and BM's family forever, lol!

advice.only2's picture

Ummm could you send your DH my way for a few hours?  I have some "food" items I need to purchase and I would really appreciate it if he could foot that bill for me...lol!

secret's picture

sounds like a problem I'd love to have. I could use just shy of 4,000$ right about now... Smile

Seriously though.... when i had very little money to feed a family for a few days... STEAK and mostly all meat was not top of my list. I bought things that could spread the money as far as possible... but then again, I'm not a greedy leech who cries poor and has someone else buy me expensive crap cuz they're a sucker

Tell him to go buy a 25 pound bag of beans and a 25 pound bag of rice and drop them off to her.  And then she is not to call him until that is gone.
