Ok, not sure where to start, but hoping this can be a good place to vent. I've been reading a lot of posts, and can relate to quite a few things I've read. Haven't come across a situation like mine, but maybe some one here can relate and possibly give some advice.

I was married for 11 years, got divorced this past summer. We just kind of outgrew each other and it was a long time coming. We have a 12 year old daughter, and our divorce was pretty amicable. We still get along fine, probably because we don't see each other everyday, lmao.

Arggg my evil plan has failed...This weekend is the dreaded skid weekend visit out at MIL's. I starting feeling like I was catching a cold over the weekend, and tuesday it really came on full blown. I still feel like crap and was pretty positive that Saturday I would feel like crap too and then I wouldn't feel "well enough" to go out for skid visit. Plus I wouldn't want to "get anyone else sick" either }:) Well my plan was going swimmingly, but after DH heard how bad I sounded and looked when he got home from work today, dragged me down to the drugstore to get cold medication. DAMMIT!

Just curious if anyone else's MIL is weirdly friendly with BM whether it be and ex gf or ex wife. And If so how close/ how do you deal with it?

NM....Crazy threads going around lately HUH? What's up with all that??

Yes I know this is off topic but I recently stumbled upon something that always makes me laugh. It's this woman's blog who does all of her own illustrations. Besides this site, i'm not really much of a blog reader but this person is hillarious imo. I kind of have a sick and simple sense of humor, so not everyone may agree, but just figured i would leave the url on here if anyone needed a little pick me up!

I have 2 brothers and both are going through divorces right now. The first one just went to court. Back ground his ex wife is in prison for fraud a federal charge and has does this before. She got 40 years with 30 suspended. So they went to court for their divorce and he got custody of the kids and it was his choice to take them to see their mom. The judge asked my brother if he had a problem with taking them to see her and he said no. The judge told him to pick every 4 weeks, 6 weeks, or 8 weeks.

Question For the Divorced Folks

Do any of you all still call your ex-husband or ex-wife by a nickname that you called them when you were married? Not necessarily a lovey-dovey nickname, but a shortened version of their name or some other form of nickname?? Does your Ex call you by any such nickname?

Eg.

Jim - you call him Jimbo
Gabriella - you call her Gabby
Roberto - you call him Robbie
Antoinette - you call her Annie

OR

And BOY what a year it has been!!! First I was deployed 10 days after we got married for 6 months, to the worst place (IMO) in the world... then, a week after I returned, we got DH's kids (SS3 and SD4) and they have been with us solid (their BM lives states away, and doesnt really want them at the moment) over 5 months!! Whew!!

Last night my SKs (SD13 and SS8) were doing their homework and all of a sudden they started to argue. So I started to tell them not to talk to each other because it will only turn out into a big argument if they do. Well DH calls me and whispers in my ear, "Leave the disciplining to me."

My husbands ex has been sending me any and all info and questions to me because they have not been getting along. Im tired of dealing with her. My job is to care for my Step daughter and I do, but I refuse to get in the middle of any arguments between my husband and the ex. She always threatens to block his number then immediately starts texting my phone. She drives me crazy. She is bi polar and always causes problems with little things when it could be much more simple. I hate that I let it get to me. GRRRRR!!!
