How do you live contently when your step-daughters bm just up and left with no word for 4 years. I am tired of being "ok" with it. i am tired of cleaning up the mess and dealing with thhe crap. Why does the husband expect me to just deal with it? be the grown up. We have one child together and another on the way and he expects me to love his child the way I love my Biochildren. Ridiculous.

feeling like you come in second or 3rd as of importance
Does anyone every feel like there step child is more important then themsleves. Children are important and there step parents should feel equally loved and as important. How do any one feel about that. I always felt like my step comes first even before the daughter I share with my husband.
My bday weekend update!! :)
A few weeks ago I posted how I told dh that all I wanted for my bday was to take our bios an visit ny parents. The problem was that it was going to be an ss weekend so I gently tried to tell him this weekend was for the kids and I alone. Dh got his feelings hurt thinking I didn't want him (dh) around. I finally told him (with advice from someone here) that since it was an ss weekend I figured dh might want to spend the weekend with ss instead while we do our own thing. I told dh it would give ss time away from our kids which ss would enjoy. At first dh was angry and defensive.

Dealing with the "Moooooommmmmmyyyyyy" cry after skid is punished by the evil stepmom...
Yesterday I picked up the kids from daycare. She told me SS3 had had 2 time outs that afternoon, the most he's had in awhile. Didn't surprise me because we suspected the skids had been at BM's mom's house all weekend, and every time they spend time with her they have the BIGGEST attitude problems.
A chronicle of what has changed since I found Step Talk
A chronicle of what has changed since I found Step Talk…this turned out really long, but I needed to get it out of my system. Maybe someone will read the whole thing, maybe not; either way it organized my thoughts and feelings and has sort of caught me up to date with my process of coming to terms with (or not) with skids.
Wacjobs newest entry on her fake facebook page
Now a days children seem to take the qualities good an bad from their influences ie parents... It amazes me that a persons child can get away with threatening to hurt my children, and then tripping my child on purpose making her fall into a mud puddle and leaving her with my oldest to clean her up, real responsible,

birthday season
If you have read any of my blogs, you know that we have 7 children between the both of us, 5 of them are my step kids. anyway.. April and May have been named birthday season here because 4 of them have birthdays days apart, starting today. then May 3rd, then may 7, and may 24th. my questions are:
1. would it be a good idea to just have DH take each kid out by themselves to like eat or a movie or something?? because since there are so many of us, its sooo expensive to take them all out as a family.

Would you need your ex to sign something for you to get a house??? Need opinions
Ok...so they have a divorce decree signed...the BM receives direct deposit to her account every week. She is trying to buy a house and has "told" bf he needs to come over and sign some document about what he pays in CS for addition proof of income...and the whole "it's for your daughter" bullshit line. THing is, he probably won't sign it.
BUT I call BS on it...she's up to something. We don't trust her, she's a pretty swine type of person that ALWAYS gets over on people, her exh (my bf), his parents, sales people, insurance companies, welfare fraud, you name it.
The "One Up"
Maybe BM was just really excited... or maybe she felt like she just had to "one up" us. I'm leaning towards to latter as she has done this before. We have had a family trip planned to the Caribbean for several months. SS11 needed a passport so we got that taken care of since January. Aside from the trip being for a family wedding there, it's also a place where I have a lot of family and I visited every summer as a child (I am also from the Caribbean so have family all over the islands).
