So, BabyVoice has been taking private flute lessons. Apparently, it paid off because she will be one of 10 sophomores in Symphony Band next year and the only one in the flute section. Good for her. Drives me nuts when she practices, but it's soooooooooo much better than when she is playing her ukelele.

She has a recital on Sunday afternoon.

DH just texted me "do you want to go to BV's recital on Sunday?"

me - nope, I'm good.

DH - are you sure??

me - *crickets*

Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

right? Thing1 played the trumpet in grade school. I didn't even want to go to HIS recitals.

Those school choir concerts and the like? I'd rather poke myself in the eyes with fire sticks...

Actually, my husband knew how to bribe me.

DH: Want to go drive down to BMTown and watch SD play softball?

Me: Not really... (in my mind .. NO.. why do I want to go watch her pluck the stitching out there in right field, never hit a ball and have to be in BM's orbit while she plays MOTY?)

DH: I can ice the cooler down and you can drink on the way to the game (2 hour drive) then we can go get hard crabs after.

Me: OK sure.

But, even he didn't go to those recital things.. too far..lmao.

Not a recital!!!!!! The only thing worse than a band recital is a children's choir.
I'd rather have my n!pples pounded flat with a ball peen hammer.
