Age appropriate affection btwn BD and Skids, is there such a thing?

I know I have to be careful how to word this , but is there such a thing as age appropriate affection physical contact ( nothing perverted) ... Just trying to find out does it matter?

I may be off topic here, but are you in a way referring to the amount of affection between your Sig other and your step kids? I have an issue where my "ss" of 6 throws fits in restaurants if he can't sit on his dads lap. This happens everywhere else too actually. He is very clingy. I am glad for a tight bond but when we are out in public he becomes whiny and persistent to constantly sit on his dad even when eating It gets annoying.
