Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

Thanks. Not worried about
Thanks. Not worried about proving he is applying and interviewing, but he's been overpaying for too long, and just lost his job, we are in dire straits. He has only been unemployed for 1week (the holiday was not exactly peak interview time, go figure), and has out more than 20 applications already. Just feel like he should not be paying CS on a salary he has not made in three years!
No, you don't have to go to
No, you don't have to go to court depending on what state you life in. You do have to notify the CSE office or the DA (depending on your state) that you want a CS review. An Administative Court Judge will be assigned and will issue a ruling based on information submitted. At least that is how it worked for us following a telephone hearing.
Also, if it has been 2 years you don't need a change of circumstance to file for a CS review. Again, depending on your state.
We requested a CS review when I was laid off in an effort to try to get the income credit the worthless POS SpermClan was given due to my income (StepDad). That did not work. He still got the credit even though I had not worked in nearly a year. But, his CS did go up by nearly 700%. }:)
