Visitation Changes in this unique time

Yesterday, I spoke with my ex regarding this weekend and visitation. She was clear that she preferred that for the foreseable future that she would like to suspend visits and only have virtual interaction.  At first, I was ok with the concept, but said that I needed a minute to think about it. Children are vector carriers and are a main vessel for the potential spread (that and general inability to have hygeine, haha).

That being said, and althought these are unprecedented times, no one in their house is has symptoms, no one in our house has symptoms and we've been basically distanced on top our mountain for over a week now.  Does this step seem necessary to you all?

I'm on the fence because I don't want to contribute to this lasting longer than it has to but, honestly, the thought of not seeing my son for a month is not setting well at all.

Thoughts?

she wants to try and make it so she gets paid more child support?

That the COVID-19 supercedes the visitation schedule.

But we can expect the BM to "ask" for cash payouts to cover the feeding of kiddos.

Perhaps, thought I doubt it.  She'll end up back in Court to dothat and I'm pretty the Judge won't want to hear that narrative.

I would give it 14 days as recommended and see how everyone is feeling. If there is no outside exposure in each home for that duration I could see a possible change in homes. Unless the CDC comes up with new information by then

It's not reasonable for you to not have time with your son for a month, and I'm sure she would not agree to it if you proposed that he stays at your house. If no one knows of any exposure, life should carry on as far as visitation goes.  If both homes follow the guidelines than it should be fine. This could go on for much more than 1 month.

So far, Munchkin SD13 has been staying with her mother, Toxic Troll, who hasnt worked in 1 1/3 years. So she is much safer there, than with DH and myself who both work, because our jobs are considered "essential services". So, we get more expopsure to germs, etc.

We miss he greatly, but its for her best interests.
