Speaking of Cheaters- Tori & Dean

Goodness I hope I dont regret bringing up the cheating subject again.

However, since we always talk about Leanne and Eddie and we never talk about Tori and Dean, I was just curious as to what everyone thought about them and their story?

I hate to say it but I like Tori. I love her reality tv shows. I have connected to her and her family. Ugh I know. I am sure some of you are going to hate me and then accuse me of being a homewrecker....

Idk... I think she is funny and relateable. I guess I dont really think of her as a homewrecker and cheater. Not until Dean cheated on her. And I did think- karma.

Has anyone watched her most recent show (that just ended this week) True Tori??? Curious as to what others thought about the show.

Oh and it looks like Jason Aldean has left his wife for the girl he was caught making out with in the bar. Some girl from American Idol.

Jason Aldean is a big country artist for those of you who dont know.

Oh yeah. I agree too about him pulling the "anxiety attack" card when it was useful for him. Very manipulative.

I was shocked when he cheated. They seemed to have it all. But I think he is like a typical male. Oh they now have 4 kids, busy, cant fit sex in, so he gets it somewhere else.

I think he is also ego driven. It makes him feel good to be wanted.

If I understand correctly- him and his ex have a son together. But the daughter- Lola they were in the process of adopting when the affair/divorce happened. Dean opted out of adopting her, so that his Ex could and there wouldnt be any issues with the adoption.

I do like her but I feel like this show will be the ultimate nail in the coffin of their marriage.

I don't really like her, but I watched a bit of the show the other day by chance. I think she thinks she's a princess and that became obvious when her father passed away and she complained about her inheritance even though most of the money went to her BIO mother…I think she deserves the guy too…he's an idiot…and he deserves her...

During the time in my life I was navigating my own (then)DH leaving me for the neighbor across the street, I read Mary Jo Eustace's book "Divorce Sucks: What to do When Irreconcilable Differences, Lawyer Fees, and Your Ex's Hollywood Wife Make you Miserable" (Mary Jo was Dean's wife when Dean/Tori hooked up).

I wanted to like Tori, I suspect Candy Spelling was a difficult BM and Tori has legitimate issues because of it, and yet Tori's still funny and witty. But when I saw Tori bemoan, "OH WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS?" (referencing Dean's infidelity), I actually puked a little in my mouth. It's the same old same old story: If you marry a man who cheats on his wife, you'll be married to a man who cheats on his wife.

Thumbs down Tori and Dean. They both suck.

It's been five years since I read it - and I literally picked it up weeks after my (then)DH moved out and I was still heart-broken over his betrayal - but I loved the book. It was funny, self-deprecating but very real and relatable without being nasty.

Not sure if I'd hold that opinion today, but I did love it then. Smile

Agreed. I do too. I admire the way his ex wife has conducted herself publicly.

I don't know what either Tori or Dean have done with their lives that has garnered them reality shows. The only reason Tori got acting jobs was because of her dad. They both cheated on their spouses with each other. That's about it.

I think Tori is a nice enough person. But I have to wonder if Dean's ex is laughing her a$$ off at this. I can't blame her if she is. She wrote a book about being left by Dean for Tori. Maybe karma exists? Because this must be Tori and Dean's for cheating on their spouses.

Dean seems like a serial cheater. At this point he can't even use the excuse that he was unhappy in this marriage. He's truly a pi$$ poor father and human being.

I wonder what his son Jack thinks of them (Tori and Dean) He's old enough to know they're on tv and see this all play out.

Out of Tori and LeAnn, I like the former better...she doesn't seem like she's up in the ex's face demanding that she move on. She seems to accept more responsibility for what she's done. Whereas LeAnn is an annoying little thing who needs to be taken down a few pegs.
