FUN Baby Shower Games

Any ideas for FUN baby shower games? Something interactive? Like a fun way of doing musical chairs, pass the baby (Like hot potato), etc.

Planning my niece's baby shower.

I'm pretty much over baby showers and over the games at baby showers.

Any ideas for a fun, interactive game is appreciated.

I hate games at showers. I told my SIL and BFF NO FREAKING GAMES at my baby shower lol.

This was about the only game I can remember at any shower I went to.. because it was actually fun... Buy a bunch of baby food, number each jar (and record what each is) then remove the labels and have people pass around and try and guess what the baby food is. It was kind of funny how nasty it all looked/smelled when you have no clue what was in the jar lol Wink

Baby Bingo is fun. You make a bingo card with the names of gifts normally given at a shower. You hand those out before she opens the gifts. Then, everyone watches what she's opening and marks them off on their baby bingo cards. The first one to get all of them in a row wins.

How about beer pong?

I'm c.f., and would rather have a pelvic exam than go to another baby shower.

I always thought the one where you melt different kinds of chocolate candy bars in a small diaper and everybody has to figure out which candy bar it is was funny. It looks like poop, everybody is sticking their nose in the diaper to smell it.

I like the "baby" game. You give each guest a clothes pin and attach it to their clothes as they enter the house/venue. (They sell pink and blue ones at Party City)
The "word of the day" is BABY. Every time someone says the word BABY, you can take their pin/pins. Whoever gets the most pins wins a prize. It's a lot of fun because people will listen very carefully to everyones conversations and snatch their pins away when they hear them say the word baby.

A gross but fun game we played was similar to the baby food with no labels thing. For this one, you took diapers and put semi melted candy bars in the diapers for people to guess what kind of candy bar it was. It was the only time during the shower where people were practically screaming with laughter.

Another one we did that people seemed to appreciate was to list the name of either the baby(to be) or the parents and then take each letter and use that for a word to describe what personality traits you want the baby to have or something similar to that.

I went to one where you cut a string for your best guess about how big the bump was (all the way around). The person closest got a prize. It was funny to see how much we all over or under estimated

My favorite so far has been where the host reads off obscure thing and you have to see if you have them in your purse: (ie: safety pin, photo of a baby, receipt for gas, bobby pin, individual wrapped mint)
It was funny to see all the stuff that accumulates in the bottom of purses and who ever had the most of the items won.

Here is another bingo game that is fun with a larger group, and is a great ice breaker. Write different descriptors in the boxes. Include variations like "oldest child, has family member, has twins in family, is/has a step mother, is an aunt, was pregnant in the past year, has at least three siblings, speaks another language, wore braces as a kid, has had an appendectomy.." This can be really fun. It also can allow childless/child free women feel included.

Matching games:
Mother/baby from the Bible, if it's a church-going crowd.
Animal/baby animal
Animal/gestation period

I'm having my baby shower in the next month or so and I'm helping my best friend come up with games. I'm not big on the baby games, I'm more interested in eating cake and food, but so far we've come up with:

Baby Bingo (like others suggested)

Predicting the due date/gender: we're printing up a calendar and the guest will stamp which date they think baby will come on, and since we arent finding out what we are having my guest get to choose purple or green little feet print stamps to put on the wall calendar.

Filling a large bottle and guessing how many candies are in there

Price is Right with baby items: get wipes, diapers, baby food (whatever really) and have people guess what the prices are

And it's not really a game but we're buying little wooden cube abc blocks and letting people decorate them with sharpies

I've seen a lot of the chocolate candy in the diapers game and people seem to like it but I personally am not fond of the game so we won't be playing it.

Thank you Ladies!

These are the games I am going to do.

Game: Stand up, Sit down (Similar to the What is in your Purse game)

Game: Draw A Baby How to play: Each guest must place the paper plate on top of their head. When the host says so, each guest must try and draw a baby on the plate. When the host says "Time is up!" they get to judge all the pictures and choose the best drawing.

Game: Having A Baby
How to play: Guests split into teams of four or five; each person in the group gets a balloon. When the host says "Go!" the first person from each team has to blow up their balloon as fast as they can and stick it under their shirt. After the first person's done this, the second person follows suit, then the third, etc. Once all team members have balloons under their shirts and are sporting baby bumps, each person in the group (starting with the first) has to pop their balloon. The team that blows up and pops their balloons first, wins.
