I've never lost it on skids because I know how it feels to be the skid on the receiving end of it when you didn't do anything wrong. The skids' BM was to blame for their actions. However, DH has, but those times are few and far between and only if they really mess up.

My step daughter took my expensive perfume and wasted it spraying it all over the house. Yeah, I freaked because I told her that our bedroom is off limits. She went in there anyways. But instead of me giving her shit, I let her dad deal with her.

I lost it at my SS when he was 7 because he called my SD a B****. This was before his dad and I were even engaged and I felt bad afterwords but what he did was still wrong.

SD and I were often on the outs. However, I always had DH deal with the discipline - not my role.Glynne

I have lost my temper with skids one too many times but then again they live with us and are now typical teenagers. I lose my temper more easily with SS12 because he is so damn stubborn and argumentative. SD14 is at that age were she thinks she rules the world and we should all bow down to her. But at the end of the day we give each other hugs good night and say we love you to each other.

Yesterday I was having a problem. SO woke up with a cramp in his neck and he couldn't look to the left at all! Well he was sitting on the couch with the heating pad, leaning foward, playing a game on my laptop, and she kept hanging on his neck. He told her about 5 times, to get off, but 30 seconds later, she was right back on again. After about the 6th time I said, "SD your dads neck hurts, he has asked you repatedly to not hang on his neck, if you continue to do it, you will have to sit in time out for not listening."
Then she pouted.
