so umm...

I posted about the nightmares I experienced with back to school shopping and the amazing back to school haircuts we got the kids...

Follow up to that - I completely disengaged last week. Read. Jogged. Went out for a few drinks with some girlfriends. When they went home they were very confused and didn't even say goodbye - so really it hurt me and them in the long run so I think that was a bad idea...although - I was very relaxed.

Picked up the kids Friday...BM decided to "out do" me or something with the haircuts? SHE HACKED THEIR HAIR COMPLETLELY OFF!!!!!!!!!!!! They look like children recovering from a lice infestation or something. It's INSANE! Like little girls with old woman haircuts? a BIG WTF? And though DH is mortified - he said NOTHING about it. I FLIPPED. And yes, I did yell at the girls - they both know we JUST had their haircut. Fsd7 keeps saying "I want my hair like this and like this" - I keep saying - sorry! YOU made the choice to get your haircut AGAIN and now it's so short we can SPIKE it. fsd9 looks like she has a thick shaggy wig on her head. Seriously? yet this BM comes out smelling like roses every time. WHAT? She let them wear these old stinky platform sandals to school Friday - they are disgusting, worn, and smelly. And on top of their hair - they looked like the just climbed out of a trashcan. Carelessness, yet I had to hear about their "mother of the year all weekend." The mother of they year that just moved them BACK into her babydaddy's house with rumors flying around us saying that the "baby" may not even BE babydaddy's. Wouldn't it be awesome if a friend of the "babydaddy" brought this to his attention and requested a DNA test and it was negative? Then I could officially call her Hester Pryne...only in my dreams.

uggh....the baby is a boy...BOOOOOOOOO! But I would still like to call her Hester anyway and make her wear an "A." hahaha! I don't understand it either. It didn't take me long to understand that my mom was putting me down constantly. Til this day - I love her BUT I will NEVER ever let her talk down to me or pick me apart ever again - she knows this is why we speak once every few months. I completely understood what she was doing to me was wrong. She's not my superhero. Though I speak highly of her (well I did) - If I had had a Stepmom as amazing as I am with those kids - I think I would have chosen sides pretty easily...and there was no contest in which what parent I would have chosen to live with.

I hope one day they wake up and get it!

Like when they start getting bullied at school for these ridiculous haircuts she got them. If I were a hairstylist I would have REFUSED to cut their hair like that.
