I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for all those who responded to my postings today and my other recent post. I have been a long time lurker (visit several times every day) for the past 4 years at least. I have sat back and watched countless "dramas" unfold and arguments, but I always come back because the experiences, advice, and even the vents have always helped to just read.

I usually don't really post at all because I'm just not good at it and don't really feel like I have much to offer or am not as gifted at this type of outlet as many of you are.

I have received so much advice over the years, which none of you would probably ever know the impact of what you may post here may have on a complete stranger.

I feel guilty for posting and having such gracious and helpful responses when I don't contribute to other posts.

So I wanted to say thank you to those who recently took time and offering your advice to a complete stranger.

TIgerlily - the point of the site is to seek information and to know that you are not alone - if you can do that then the site is doing its job - and you may surprise yourself how much you can contribute just by sharing your experiences - none of us are professional SM's with all of the answers we are all just big hearted and loving women who are in a situation that we did not fully comprehend when we got into it and now are trying to learn how to navigate through the murky waters.

Very nice to know that you appreciate the site!

I missed your posts, but feel free to blog. It will be good for your soul and you never know who YOU may end up impacting because of it. It's a good feeling to know that you are among people who comprehend that being a step parent is difficult, challenging and seldom rewarding, hardly ever appreciated or acknowledged. It's a responsiblity we (most of us) take seriously and we honor it, by always conducting ourselves in the best light and being the best role model for our skids and DH.

As I have said, I am not a blogger, but this site has saved me in more ways than I can mention in one blog.

Welcome, you have people here who can give you the view that we sometimes can not see for ourself.
