Alternately Titled: The Little Learning Disability That Wasn't

So YSS has been skipping the last three days of school (last week) and for GOOD REASON.  Seems there were finals/quizzes/assignments due on those pesky core subjects like math, reading and science.  He did pop in long enough to do  his fav subject. . . Varsity Chorus.   And also he managed to pop in for Health which is what we used to call back in the day a "bird course."  Then walked out the door and back home for vid games and instagraming.

No heavy lifting involved!

I just don't get public schools these days, I'm about to turn 50 so yes it's been a few decades since I was in school but come on, kids just get up and walk out and basically no repercussions. My idiot SD's had whole chunks of the day with classes or mornings or afternoons off, we went to school it was for THE DAY not part of it, no wonder these kids don't know what to do in the real world, school isn't even real anymore.

These are the "workers" that will accidentally unplug your life support.  Whoops!  I was on my phone when it happened!  The other day I TOTALLY BAFFLED a kid behind the counter.  He couldnt' have been older than 20.  The bill came to $3.15.  I handed him a five dollar bill and fifteen cents.   He started giving me back four ones and some change.  I kid you not!!

Similar thing happened to me at a Party City. My total was like $3.78, so I gave the kid $5.03 because I wanted the quarter. He stood there forever trying to figure out what to do. Another co-worker had to step in and help.

Not so funny thing about both SD's, I jokingly told both of them on different occaissions to never to use drugs that they couldn't afford to lose anymore brain cells, this would be when they did something REALLY boneheaded stupid that even they knew it was dumb, but inside my head I said it alot more and both went on to be addicts, soon they will both be loosing tic tac toe to a potatoe  lol

Perfect title and alternate title. I have definitely been where you are and am presently dealing with it,All I can say is, it doesnt get better (from my experience) the games, the manipulation, the staying in school just so mom can receive CS, your 20 years old in highschool still, come on! SOs Son likes to throw around that he has a "Learning Disability", that he has "ADHD", that he has "ODD" etc...yet no educational psychologist or psychiatrist has provided those diagnoses, he gets his lists from the B.
SS is more reasonable than SD. One day you will be at the point where all the non-sense will no longer bother you and you could care less what happens to them, usually when this happens your 1 step away from ending the relationship.
Im 33 now and ive given up my youth for what seems like not a hell of a lot...best of luck to you. But I love the fake diagnoses, judge has bought that BS so far, we will see in January. Good Luck with your circus freaks lol Smile .
