There are so many who join web sites and chat rooms , then they pic their MARK(s)..Some live off people online, financially. The concock some story and , those with Big hearts feel bad an want to help.
I can name dozens of stories.
One lady in vegas had everyone believing she was very ill with NO insurance,in & out of a hospital etc. She had people paying her bills.,One guy felt bad when her computer went down & sent her another one, then the story was she was robbed after she cashed her pay check, couldn't pay rent , food etc.. Took all her 2 weeks pay..Many people sent money some paid her bills directly.
Turned out..After someone told me on the phone one day..what had happened..In Vegas.
This women..Set UP a GATHERING for everyone from the chat room ( this was a yearly party for years) to meet in person a 5 day trip in Vegas..About 4 months before the LAST trip date.( I had attended one a few years earlier & the Hostess seemed fine ).the Hostess all of a sudden was sick, got robbed & PC broke, car being repoed..etc etc...neumerous things happened...
We all wanted to believe her..Since we've talked for years.Some had even met her in person once or twice.( ME being one of them )..when they were in Vegas other times.

..5 people supposedly paid the same Cell phone Bill 145.00, 3 people paid (gave money for her car payment 350.00 x 3 ) which she said was repod..etc.\One lady was taken for over 2,000. another 400.
another 1200.
This all came out after the LAST Vegas trip.( I did not attend this one).One of the ladies I talk to by phone..told me some things after the trip..That didn't sit right with me..I started investigating things & came to the conclusion it was a scam !!!!! ( i knew these ladies YEARS)
Anyway come to find out..This was a scam two Ladies did... I knew about one, ...then realized her best online friend was also in on it.

This woman in vegas, made plans with a hotel ( family owned) she got each person going on the trip to pay a certain amount. This was suppose to enclude (chips to gamble) And other things the Hotel offered supposedly. MY friend on the phone, said, NO one got ANY chips??
Then one night when the group got together, Hospitality room..they were playing some game. Everyone was playing except the Hostesses daughter (adult)n Three woman had their Pocketbooks Robbed that night in that room over 2500.00.
As I checked into ALL THIS, Another friend ( many of use talk by phone ) I come to find out ALL of them either were robbed or GAVE MONEY.
At the end of the trip..A man stood up & said, we should all help SO & SO out any donations,??? And half the people, about 150. gave her cash..They collected to help her out *hostess* when in Fact she was the THEIVES AND SCAMMER !!!!

I REALLY BELIEVE NOW THAT THE*HOSTESS* HAD THESE PARTIES,THE YEARLY TRIP, TO RIP PEOPLE OFF AND SCAM THEM , WHEN I LOOK BACK AT THE FEW TIMES I WENT & SHE & HER BEST FRIEND MADE TONS OF MONEY OFF PEOPLE...WAS DELIBERATE!!! THIS IS THEIR INCOME...INSTEAD OF WORKING.
WAS VERY CLEAVER AND DOZENS OF LOVING CARING PEOPLE..WERE SO EMBARRASSED THEY NEVER CAME FORWARD, (HOSTESS ASKED THEM TO KEEP IN CONFIDENTIAL) IF IT WASN'T FOR MY FRIEND TELLING ME, THEY STILLWOULD BE GETTING AWAY WITH THIS SCAM.
...I ANNOUNCED THE THEIVES AND WHAT HAPPENED ONE NIGHT IN THE CHAT ROOM AND PUT THE TWO THEIVES (HOSTESSES) ON THE SPOT...I ALSO SENT A EMAIL TO OVER 300 PEOPLE WHO HAD ATTENDED THESE VEGAS PARTIES AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER...I HAD MET MANY OF THEM IN REAL LIFE...MANY, MANY HAD GIVEN BIG MONEY...NOT KNOWING OTHERS HAD.
ONCE I STARTED TALKING TO PEOPLE ONE ON ONE..I SAW WHAT THEY WERE DOING...AND DID THIS FOR YEARS..
DO NOT GIVE MONEY TO PEOPLE ONLINE...NO NO,NO, NO.
I COULD TELL YOU SEVERAL OTHER STORIES...BASED ON MONEY (ONLINE ) SCAMS...PLEASE DON'T FEED INTO PEOPLE LIKE THIS...IF YOU WANT TO GIVE, GIVE LOCALLY OR TO A FAMILIES YOU KNOW , THAT ARE IN REAL NEED.AND CAN BE VERIFIED.!!
