Good vibs and good thoughts please!!

Please send good thoughts our way today guys. We are telling SD tonight that she's going to be a big sister. My anxiety is through the roof. After careful consideration, we have also decided to tell her BM. I know that we don't owe her this, but DH and I agree that a heads up towards parents over big changes is (for us) the correct way to go. I'll update you tomorrow. :/

Our goal is to make sure that SD knows that she is important and loved as well. She is an only child and almost 12, hence the anxiety. Thanks for your kind words!

That's actually sweet age to get a little brother or sister. She's not a little girl or a bratty teenager.

My SD was 10, and was pensive, little sad that she wasn't her dad's only daughter anymore, but excited. One really sweet idea, I have thought, is to let her pick out the middle name? (We actually chose the name she picked out for the baby's first name!)

I think it's also the right thing to do tell BM. DH did the same.
