BF and BM went to mediation once. Per their divorce decree, which was drafted shortly before the baby was born but not signed by the judge until after the baby was born due to BM's attorney making number typos and it having to be drawn up again. Anyway, the decrees requires them to go to mediation before going to court if they cannot work out parenting time, child support etc.

Anyway, we thougt the first meeting went well. BM was pissy towards the mediator, was made the BF found out the her new man has 2 domestic assault charges against her in one year, threatened to get a retraining order against BF for checking out her new man, conplained that raising baby was super expensive ($200 a month for diapers etc) and never signed the contract so I don't think the mediator can do an initial report to give to the judge if it goes that far. We got an email from the mediator yesterday stating BM retained an attorney and released the mediator from needing her services.

BF dropped off baby today after our weekend visit and BM showed up in a new Jaguar! WTF! She was crying poor in mediation. She just bought a brand new Honda last October before the baby was born.

Great now more cash down the toilet!

That BM is just helping you out by not complying. Because guess what the judge is going to order?

MORE MEDIATION.

If she keeps quitting, then it shows she is uncooperative.

Goodluck and hold onto your seat. This is likely going to be a VERY long and bumpy ride.

I would ask the mediator for a report anyway. Maybe it will show that BF complied and she refuses to? The only thing the mediator can say is NO, right? Also, I would submit it to the courts for review Smile

in mediation, after a few attempts, it will go to court. and most likely not look good for BM not complying and trying to reach an agreement. courts like people to work things out themselves so they dont waste the courts time. especially when one party is just doing it to be difficult. mediators and courts see rite thru that and they dont like it.
