Lying and the little things

SisterNeko's picture

I know BM lies but what is shocking is that as much as she does it, she isn't getting any better at it. I am one of those people that can pick up on the little things that seems to make BM look shady.

Now I can't always prove that my theories on BM are correct but I make it a point to tell FDH the things that I see, if nothing else it makes him more aware of what BM is doing. So he isn't as shocked when the S*** hits that fan. I also hit at things to teachers and doctors (through FDH) SO that they know too.

Now I am a very honest person. I don't like to lie because it's hard work - if you do it right - too many things to remember. So here are a few things that I have picked up on the past few weeks.

SS7 and Therapy - SS7 has been going to Therapy for just a few visits. he was having panic attacks. I got to go to the last 'parent' meeting (by request of the Therapist) BM appeared uninterested and seemed to think it was a waste of time because she doesn't think there is anything wrong with SS7. Most of the suggestions were directed at BM and the therapist didn't seem impressed with BM. But it was agreed that SS7 would see her one more time and then she wanted him to start school before seeing him again (to see how it went). Well I was supposed to take SS7 to the therapist but BM txt'ed me and said she was taking him - it was confirmed with the sitter that BM picked him up. But we can't seem to confirm that he made it to the appointment. SS7 didn't say anything about seeing the Therapist (who he loves) and BM didn't say anything about setting up the follow up after school started. Well school started and SS7 was a train wreck, so we sent a 'report' to the Therapists office (delivered it myself) but we haven't heard back yet.

Word vomit - at drop off this week FDH asked BM if they could have SS7's eyes checked. He left out that I had noticed a few things with SS7 struggling to see things far away. BM states right away that his eyes are fine, they checked them at his last check-up with the pediatrician. FDH just smiled and said "no they didn't." BM had forgotten that FDH went to the check up last time and sat through the whole thing. They didn't check his eyes.

The school - We went to open house this week. FDH and I like to go and meet the teachers, so that they know who we are and that we are involved. Both teacher were very nice but before we left each one I made it a point to say (because FDH forgot) that they needed to contact FDH directly about any issues or meetings because BM doesn't always inform him in a timely manner. Both Teacher were nice about it and agreed to do so. One asked if we needed to do the meetings separately and FDH said no they would be together (we just can't trust BM to tell us everything) and the other ask if we had a method for sharing paper work back a forth. I told her honestly we that we had not found one that worked. I told her that I scanned in all the stuff from last week and sent it to BM but We had not gotten anything this week. FDH asked if anything had been sent home this week (BM's week) and teacher said yes. She then offered to put extra copies in a folder for us - at first she said leave it in the bag but I think she knew that it wouldn't stay there because then she offered to leave it at the school and send it with SS5 the following Monday. Why we do this - every year BM paints this picture that her and FDH get along great and if they tell her, she will tell him, but she doesn't and the teachers figured that out last year as well.

The favorite child - When we got to the open house BM was leaving in a hurry because her hubby was still working and instead of bringing the children to the open house (which is allowed) she left them with her mom. So FDH and I had the rare chance to talk to the teachers without BM hovering like she did last year. Where the fave child comes in? Well we went to SS5 classroom first and we couldn't find his seat, each child had a writing sample on their table but SS5 was gone, BM must have taken it. And SS5 teacher confirmed seeing BM, in fact she just left. We went to SS7's classroom and his writing sheet was still here. His teacher said that the bus seemed to be sorted out but said nothing about seeing BM. I pointed it out to FDH in the parking lot and added that last year when we went BM was already in SS5's class when we got there and then followed us to SS7 class like a lost puppy. I asked FDH if he thought BM even went to see SS7's teacher this year or if she was in such a hurry she failed to make an impression.

--->states right away that his eyes are fine, they checked them at his last check-up with the pediatrician.

Since when do pediatricians check eyes? They can make sure the eyes are HEALTHY, but they can't check vision. An EYE DOCTOR should do that.

BM is a pathological liar. There is nothing she WON'T lie about. I hate it... I feel your pain. I am sorry.

My pedi does an eye test every year.

Not the point of the post, just thought is mention.

I am also the one who notices all the little inconsistancies that seem to fly right over dhs head. He's always shocked how I piece everything together and call it before shit blows up. You'd think he'd listen to me a bit more.....

Right... the letter chart on the wall, but if there is real concern I would take kid to an actual eye doctor. I know it wasn't the point of the post, it just struck me as odd.

I am sure they do some sort of check up but yeah for a real eye exam you have to go to the eye doctor. It was more the fact that she said they did when FDH had been there and knew that they didn't - at least this year - check his eyes.

exactly - lol. She has said some pretty out there things over the years. At one point I am pretty sure I shook my head at her and said that doesn't make any sense. Of course she tried to defend it which made even less sense.

My kids Pediatrician screens the kids when they go for their wellness check up. It's cute it has colored shapes as well as letters for the little ones .

Also the eye thing came about because the other day SS7 came into the kitchen and pointed to the Calender on the wall that I made FDH for Christmas last year and asked if it was him or SS5 in the picture. The months rotate between the two of them. I looked at it and then asked him who it looked like to him and he said he didn't know. I stood back and looked at it (I am slightly near sighted and I don't wear glasses because I don't have insurance/am not on FDH's yet) But even at a distance I couldn't see where the confusion was.

I know there are just 2 years between them but they look very different. SS7 has longer/thicker hair and brown eye while SS5 is shaved short and has blue eyes. Their face are even different shapes. We had the measured for their tuxes the other day and size wise they are very close.

it was just an odd question so I told FDH about it and asked him if he had ever had his eyes checked. He loves to play video games and I know that can cause eye strain.

ped's do an eye check however if there is a serious problem then an optomologist is the proper doc to see:):)
if you feel she was lieing she was....go with your gut.........
