Sorry, but I'm NOT Betty Crocker...

I don't know why folks think just because I've got a vag, that I'm into baking and cooking and crap...

I have to be in the MOOD for stuff like this, and SORRY but I'll probably NEVER be in the mood with SD...

SD INFORMED me that she wanted to baked cookies...I wasn't even going to get into it with her over how wrong her approach was as I don't care, but I just said...Uh...I don't think so as I'm leaving and when I get back, you'll be gone...

So then she asked MIL to bake cookies the next time she comes over to our house...She told her yes...

I told DH that she'd have to take her to MILs to do that...Oh wait...MIL is renting a room in a house...Oh well...

NOT my problem, and you won't be cooking in my house...Nope...not happening...If cooking and baking and trying to be "grandma" is important to you, then stop jacking off all of your money and get an apartment or house like every responsible citizen...

DH doesn't like that answer too much, but oh well...Seriously...Touching anything in my kitchen is like touching his remote to his 60" flat screen...

I told DH he was more than welcome to tie on an apron, but that was the only way it was gonna happen...

I need people to stop looking in my direction to entertain SD...

OK I have to hide all the cake mixes, toppings, frosting, etc. because sd15 wants to bake all the time. The problem is she won't finish what she started. She will make the cupcakes then refuse to frost them or clean up.

So I bought the cute little halloween cookies that you just plop on a tray and told her she could make those. So the little brat makes them and by the time me or my bd9 and bd3 get to the kitchen to get one they are all gone. Evil SD put them in a bag and put them in her room and said she likes them more than we do and wants to bring them for a snack for school tomorrow. Really?? 24 cookies??

Lesson learned. Keep everything hidden and no more cookies for her. I will go back to baking while she is not home.

I have to admit this kind of made me chuckle, shielded. I recently had a Cookie Incident with SS14 that seriously pissed me off, so I'm kind of glad I'm not the only one.

I made cookies one Friday night for SS when SO was working late. It was fun, they were yummy, and he ate them ALL by the next day. This was a giant batch of Toll House... that's like what? 4 dozen? But of course SO doesn't want to tell him NO.

Saturday I walk into the kitchen, and there are a couple of sticks of butter sitting out on the counter. I say, "What's this?" So says, "SS14 wants you to make more cookies." "Hell NO, he's already eaten more than his share of cookies for a while," and I put the butter away.

Sunday I find the butter out again. Same reason. I again told both SO and SS that I was not making cookies again, that they were a treat and not an every day "I'm hungry and want cookies" kinda thing.

Again on Monday, after I get home from work at 5... we have to cook dinner and get him back to BM's by 7. I told him, "No way. Make cookies with your mom when you get there. Maybe I'll make more next weekend when you're back."

Next week it's the same damn thing! He came home on Monday at 7pm, and wants cookies. I tell him he's going to have to wait until the weekend. I'm not baking cookies after work because he feels like a snack.

Tuesday I come home from work and he and SO are in the kitchen and with cookie shit spread all over the counter. "What's this?" SO says the HE'S going to help him. Yeah, right. Within 5 minutes they are shouting across the room, "Where do you keep the mixing bowl?" I was pissed and shouted back, "You're making cookies, you figure it out." Then went to my room.

Of course they made a huge mess, cookies turned out like crap, and skid didn't even eat them this time. I was hopping mad all week. Over cookies...

OMG that's SO funny and so true! I'm not into cooking, baking or shopping. I tried all these activities with SDs and realize that it's just an opportunity to demonstrate my lack of patience and tolerance. I occasionally fake it out of necessity but I truly dread it. Truly. And I'm not an evil person, honesty.

I'm not either...If I can't walk into a store and find whatever I need, I'm not getting it...I don't get therapeutic shopping at all...That's like having drug free surgery...I'm so glad I have a son...
