We just got the letter from the state informing us that CS has stopped ........

because the kid failed to respond to the the CSE office's request as to whether he is going to college.

So ..... we are now out from under the CO completely. Until the kid goes back to school. If and when he starts college he can contact the CSE and they will reengage direct payroll with holding from BioDad's income.

Then .... we are still out from under the CO. The kid can deal with his dipshit BioDad over CS. Of course if BioDad gives the kid any shit at all we will engage our killer attorney to fillet BioDad's ass in court one more time.

I find it interesting that when an NCP under pays or fails to pay the courts give them damned near forever to pay arrears but when the CS term comes to an end they cut it off pronto.

Just another indication of how our family law system is populated by the bottom 10%ers of the legal profession. These dipshits can't be consistent when dealing with any case.

With a few exceptions of course.

Best regards,

So I have a question? If he didn't reply and it stopped, when and if he does call CSE in the future, will CSE make the payment retroactive or start it from the date he calls?

I have a long way to go with skids 11 & 6 but I like dreaming and preparing for the future relief of CS. Smile

CSE will start CS effective on the date he notifies them that he is returning to school. I am sure there is a requirement that he actually be in school or at least registered.

I will be flying to the PAC NW next week to get my wife and kid then we will take a 10 day road trip vacation back to TX. I am sure we will get at least a dozen hours of "future plan" discussion in on the kids future while we are driving.

I heard something a while back that unless you have a substantial amount of money saved for retirement you should not pay for children(s) college, afterall there are so many ways they can get money through loans, grants, etc.

I agree and I have not paid for my daughter's college and we don't expect to pay for skids college either.

Zen,

We will not be paying for the Skids college. He will take out loans. If he performs accademically we will pay his loan off at the end of each semester.

BioDad will be on the hook for CS until gratuation or the Skids 22nd B-day once he starts college.

We don't have to participate in financing the kids college, BioDad does.
