Rags's picture

Not sure why but I thought I would share. This is pretty typical Rags/Wife daily e-mail banter.

R,

Are you interested in donating to help Japan and if so how much?

Sure. It would be best if there is a match to our donation but I am good
either way.

$50.00? $100.00?

What ever you think is right and that our budget will tolerate.

Arf!

I did $50 to be on the safe side. I asked about matching and HR will ask
the shareholders. No one else had asked that yet.

I am starting to get a little squirrelly about C's departure.

I am looking forward to going to see Paul this evening!

H.

I was thinking "Who the hell is Paul?" Then I remembered he is a leathery
little ugly dude from Mars.

lol!

I am getting a bit reticent about C's departure myself. I know I have
said this countless times but .... Thanks for letting me be his dad.
Being married to you and being his dad have been the most rewarding
experiences I have ever had.

(Cheesy movie line alert!!!!!!) You guys really do complete me.

I know I have made mistakes but I have tried to be a good dad, example,
mentor, advocate, confidante and disciplinarian. I hope I have contributed
more positively to his growing up than negatively. I think I have but time
will tell. I will take responsibility for the good and the bad as far as how he turns out. Except for anything that can be attributed to the shallow and poluted end of his gene pool.

He is MY son. Genetically or not.

He really is a quality young man and we have raised him well. The rest of
his character development/purification will come with time and with, the structure of the military and by his own efforts.

His uncle Groose and I dealt with similar issues when we were young men and
have turned out pretty well. Far better than most I think. He will be fine.

But hey, with the advantage of having me, Mr. Perfect, as his dad how else will he
turn out as an adult other than totally AWESOME!!!

If we don't strangle him first.

Things are still good in Rags land. Now, if the kid actually did something around the house today .... they will stay good. If not, it could go down hill fast.
