OT - Signed and Waiting on the court

So last Thursday we finally signed the divorce papers. Very straight forward and simple, not much to split between us, just made sure I had my name back in there, we both kept our own debt, and we both kept our cars.  I had already gotten my stuff, so we both just signed saying whatever was in the other's possesion now belongs to them.

Honestly it's been relaxing, I didn't realize how stressed out and high strung it was making me, not to mention how self-concious about my clothing it was making me.  I feel a HUGE weight has been lifted off.

I have more energy to actually get ready for the day, I'm ready to hit the gym hard again, got all the dishes done. Am doing stuff I enjoy.  I mean I even took myself to a movie (which ended up being a bad idea... Apparently right after you get out of a rough situation, watching a movie where the girl got away from a narcisstic sociopath... I mean my situation wasn't anywehre near that bad, but there were quite a few triggers. LOL.  But still, I was attempting self-care)

Just a quick update. Smile

Also no I havne't blocked him YET.  Waiting for the rest of our insurance and stuff to get divided (few hiccups... Due to state laws they refuse to take him off until they have proof).  But he's shockingly behaving himself right now.  Haven't even heard from him since friday when I got a long speil About how I need to give him another chance. *eye roll*

*Edit*

He almost didn't show to sign.  Pinged him asking if he would for sure be there at 2 and initially I got a "no." And then a "I won't sign because that symbolizes the end of us being tied together."  Then he ended up showing up, cried, asked if this was for sure what I wanted at least a million times, and refused to sit down... But at least he signed.

AWESOME FOR YOU!!!

Stay vigilant for sure, and change up your routine. But, I'm so very hopeful for you that this will be smooth sailing.

Have you heard back on any of the jobs? How about the new place to live? There is so much opportunity available to you now!

Haven't heard back yet.  A few months ago I was gung ho on purchasing in the area, but the more I think about employment, I'm debating not. That way I have the freedom to move sooner if a new job does pan out! But I'm really hopeful right now!
