Poop on the toilet- Can we talk about this?

NoThanks's picture

For those with weak stomachs, please don’t proceed.

Although, Im not longer with my ex, I still find myself completely baffled and disgusted by the discovery that ex skid frequently got large amounts of poop on the toilet seat. She was 10 at the time by the way, so this wasn’t an issue of potty training accidents.

Real questions here: If one’s anus easily fits over the opening of the toilet seat, how is poop ending up outside of the bowl??? Shockingly, I’ve read other comments on here about skids leaving poop on the seat, floor, walls, etc and Im just wondering if someone can enlighten me on how on earth this happens. Is it intentional? Are they hover-pooping? Are they intentionally missing so they can play with it (please say no)? Aren’t they embarrassed when others discover it? What is the deal?!?! Enquiring minds would like to know!

Are pettiness and manipulative tactics cod use against parents. From what i’ve read here these cod often don’t admit they did it when its bloody obvious its then, they justify it (there was no toilet paper so i wiped poop off my arse with my bare hands, wiped it on the walls, floor and carpet/door handles etc). These cod are not at all repulsed how disgusting it is...

what some stepparents put up with this constant unacceptable unjustifiable behaviour, trust me i’d be out the door, this is a toxic living environment where a hazmat team is needed...

Oh geez. My youngest SD was exactly 9 during what we now call “the year of poop.” DD had just started on solid foods and so was having her first REAL blowout diapers, and at the same time, SD got poop EVERYWHERE on a regular basis. Toilet seat, walls, floor. It was nuts.

I always just cleaned up after her, but one day I lost my mind and DH found me sobbing in our bedroom and I informed him that I was only going to clean up one child’s poop - DD’s or SD’s and he could choose which one he wanted to be responsible for. Of course he suddenly decided that SD was old enough to clean up after herself. To his credit, he did supervise this process several times, despite all the tears from SD and protests from BM about it. And one day she just stopped, like a switch flipped. So effing weird.

Probably best not to get me started.

Two weekends ago I took my kids and went to a hotel for the remainder of the holiday weekend.  (This was the weekend skid smeared poop on the wall because there was no tp and the next day wet the bed because she passive aggressively agrees  to wear a Depend and then doesn't)

When I got back on Monday, there was poop on the toilet seat.  Partner actually tried to say it was there before his kids arrived.  If it was, it was left over from a visit earlier that week.  My kids do not leave shit on the seat.  Period.

The other bathroom downstairs had a number 2 that hadn't been flushed.  His son's excuse?  They were in such a hurry to leave the house he forgot.

Like I'm sorry, but flushing is so ingrained into me that I could not forget if I tried. I could not stop my hand from going to that flusher and pushing it.  It's automatic.

Its disgusting.  Apparently flushing is optional in their home.  Like late at night and stuff.  Their mom had a fucking bonus baby and probably tells them to wait until morning to not wake the baby.  My kids know better than to wait to flush.

Flushing is not optional in my home.  We do not let it mellow.  Ever.

The worst part is it was so full I was afraid it would clog so I waited until my partner got home and told him he needed to take care of it.  He needed to have a plunger ready.

His son, for the most part, it a good kid.  He forgets to flush occasionally which I don't fucking understand, but I suppose I can work with that.

His daughter is a dumpster fire.

Her mom actually tried to put it on me saying she doesn't do that stuff at her house (smearing shit on the shower wall).

I'm sorry but I'm not taking responsibility for the fact that your daughter is a hot mess.  If she is actually passive aggressive enough to only do that at my house, there is going to be an end to overnight visits until she gets her shit together.

We don't have them this weekend because they have a wedding to attend.

We'll see if it happens again.  If it does, I'm done.

Same situation here where the girl is a nasty dumpster fire and the boy has some small issues, but nothing extreme. She was constantly unsanitary. Like the time she got a bloody nose and blew the blood out all over the bathroom sink and counter then rolled out. Her excuse was that she was in a hurry and didn’t have time to clean it up. Uhhhh, since when did a bloody nose, or shitting for that matter, required you to fuck up the whole bathroom?! I honestly feel like it’s a subconscious “marking my territory thing”. Like, “Watch me fuck this shit up and my punk-ass dad will clean it all up”.

As messed up as it is, I hope every time he’s wiping shit off the toilet or listening to her cry and scream in his face, he remembers that a very smart, attractive, successful woman was willing to stand by his side had he CHOSEN to get her behavior under control.

bio mum blames you for her pathetic daughter smearing poop on walls... if my husband even tried to say that i’d ask if he was stupid??? That harshness would sort him out quick

And here’s the kicker, he never confronted her about the poop on the toilet seat! Wouldn’t want to embarrass or hurt her feelies and make her cry. Daddy just cleaned it up. Girl, please be dumb enough to ever leave my toilet in that condition. I’d embarrass you so hard your backside would pucker on command when you crossed my threshold.

They are smearing it, most likely. Some of these kids are very emotionally disturbed.  If she's overeating to the point of being a size 16 at age 10, that's another clue that she has emotional issues.

Children are equal parts clueless and shameless.

When skid was young, she hardly ever wiped. Pretty sure BM and DH couldn’t be bothered with the idea or remote possibility that their 5/6/7/8 year princess wasn’t wiping or wiping properly.

There once was a time that I’d toss skid’s clothes into the washing machine that were left from visitation. Once I noticed her skid marked undies I WAS DONE. I told DH no more and to check his child’s arse.

You might be onto something here. ExSD also had a habit of waking her dad up in the middle of the night for non-urgent help. Or call him late at night (if she was with the BM) crying, asking him to bring her something she totally didn’t need. And he would actually do it! Lord, why did I stay as long as I did?
