Has anyone seen the movie "Enchanted?"

I haven't seen it. SD saw it...she said she didn't like it. Normally she'll elaborate on the story and why or why she didn't like a movie..but she couldn't explain why for this movie. She said it was something about a stepmom, a bio mom, a son, then the daughter finds another man to marry who has a daughter from a previous relationship...

Has anyone seen it? Can you explain the family dynamics and possibly why SD didn't like it? I'm assuming a lot of the characters hit home ...or just disturbed her?

but if it's a fairy tale I'm sure the SM is evil....(Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, etc.)

I has heard that it was a cute movie. What about Juno? Has anyone seen that? My sd saw it.

Basically it's a good movie. It's your normal sleeping beauty/snow white type of tale. There is a girl that lives in the forest that meets a prince one day----then supposed to marry him the next day.

The prince has an EVIL SM that banishes the girl, without the prince knowing, to the land of NYC. The girl meets a nice guy (Patrick Dempsey) that has a daughter. Nice guy & the girl fall in love even though they both have other SO.

It all builds up to the final series of events in which the SM turns into a Big Bad Dragon trying to destroy everyone's happy life.

That's the basic story. Does that help you any?

BUT...none ever admit a psycho BM on the other end!!! It's ALWAYS the evil SM! After we got married, SD told her cousin that I'm going to be mean now...since we're married...UGH. Is there ever a story where the stepmom is GOOD and the bio mom is whacko? In the movie stepmom...that's not reality...how often does the bio mom DIE!?!?!

I agree. I think I will make millions on a movie like that.. well actually there is one!!.. "step mom" with Julia Roberts and the BM does die..of cancer, but twards the end she realizes that the step mother to her kids is not the worst person in the world. Very good movie.. one of my favorites. My favorite part is wherethe two kids and the BM are horseback riding and her son says.. " I wont like her if you dont want me to, but she is really nice" It shows that kids do pick up the crappy attitudes that the mothers display.
