OT (kind of) the little nice gestures of teens.

Just a quick story of a nice gesture.

So, yesterday two of SS16s friends stopped here quick to see our dog. Whoever doesn't know, she's sick not sure how much longer she has with us.

When SS16s friends would come over (mainly before COVID) she was always in the middle of all them loving up the at the attention so the boys wanted to say their "goodbyes" to her. I wasn't home when they came.

Anwyas, I was checking the cameras last night because I was curious how many times door dash came to the house because both the boys have been out of control with it. SS16 realized how much he was spending so deleted it off his phone. So I saw when both friends come over.

Outside we have two small Christmas trees and SO didn't tie them down so the blow over all the time. No one picks them up except me on the day to day. So when the friends stopped by one of trees was knocked over. 1st friend walks in the house.. 5 minutes later 2nd friend is walking up, stops, picks up the tree and puts it back, then walks into the house. Honestly, it made me smile. I told SS16 this is way said friend is my fav LOL.

Now this friend is such a good kid. Not one of those awkward ones that won't talk to parents or whatever. He is nothing but polite, friendly, funny, will sit and eat with SO and I when they are here hanging out here.. just overal great kid.

His home life isn't the best from what I here. He has moved 3 times in 4 years since SS16 has been friends. And something happened that I won't discuss here that was pretty major to prove about his home life. He seems to be "in trouble" a lot according to SS16 and stuff but, I don't think he is that differnet at home then what we see at our house.

Anyways.. I just wanted to share something like that nice gesture of his friend picking up the tree before walking in shows not all teens are self centered A**holes that we read about on here LOL.
