Because I am about to forget that I am and go completely and utterly psycho on this twit.

DH called me at 11. Wanting to know if I realized the electric was off at the house. So I call my local electric company and supposedly "I" called up this morning and put a cancel order in for immediate termination of the account.

The gentleman on the phone seemed to comprehend that "I" would not be calling to find out why my electric was shut off had I actually requested it to be shut off. It has been reconnected, the account is now password protected any changes to the account have to be done in person, with photo ID.

So, I call DH, on the house phone, to explain to him what happened. And that the electric will be back on momentarily. I get the recording of "The number you have dialed has been disconnected and is no longer in service."

Texted DH, called the cell phone co and my car insurance, water co I am on hold with now - to password protect all the accounts. I will call the house phone co when I am done protecting the rest of my accounts from being cut off.

Someone please, please remind me I am the bigger, better person here. And why I should continue to be the bigger better person... because I am rapidly forgetting the reasons for it.

Most places record phone calls (you know, the "this call may be recorded for quality and training purposes").

It would be interesting, if those companies do in fact record their calls, to find out who's voice is on the other end.

Oh trust me. I will be getting those recordings. As soon as I get off the phone I will be calling the police department and file charges against "unknown" for fraud and ID theft. They can then subpeona the recordings (according to the elec co guy)and we can determine whether it was BM or SD18 who decided they were "me" today.

MAKE SURE you AND DH don't breathe a single word to BM or SD that you're on to what happened. Keep completely silent, file the report, subpeona all required records, etc and SLAM them hard.

Wow. Just wow. I'm really at a complete loss .. the CLOSEST we ever came to this was BM calling and shutting of DH's cell phone without his knowledge .. but in all fairness her name was on the account and she had been asking for him to get it off (his lazy butt just didn't get around to it).
