Mom's new live-in shoots both of her children over an argument over smoking in the house...

Horrible. Senseless.

Was he pushed to the edge by step Dynamics? Sounds like it to me...

Tragic and senseless.

However, I  won't be surprised if Mom was the shooter... because this is so messed up.

Oh Dear Lord---this is awful.

What was that Lady thinking to put her kids in their home with a Felon?

Makes me sick---I would like to know where MOM claims bio dad is.

Poor poor kids.

"Was he pushed to the edge by step Dynamics? Sounds like it to me..."

Ummmm absolutely NOT.  There are things that have nothing to do..he wasn't pushed ANYWHERE...obviously he had JUST moved in and was a convicted felon.  HE was the POS.  Also, the kids were upset about him comign in and smoking in the house-HARDLY something the teens were in the wrong about, especially if nobody else did before.  What a POS may he rot in hell.  Not every teen/step situation is the nightmare we see here...it is clear as day to me who was in the wrong, it was him.

Thank you Bananas!!

It's disgusting that people try to find an out for a POS committing such an awful act.

Sick and twisted people exist in this world.  Some of them are masters at hiding their crazy.

Last week there was a story online about a SM that killed her 8 year old SD. Should dad be blamed for that?

Those monsters are responsible for their actions' not the the bio parents and damn sure not the children.

Not to mention, if you ever get to the point of hating your skids so much you think of shooting them - time to move out.

Considering that abusers don't go from zero to murder, I will say dad was absolutely responsible for allowing his wife's unchecked abuse of his child escalate to murder.

bananaseedo's picture

I'm confused by this statement.  The case is a mom's boyfriend was the abuser/killer?

Convicted felons make good BF and lovers.  That why BM have them move in.  Unfortunate for dead kids.

How awful!!! I want to know where he got the gun. Was it the mother's?  And WTH did she think a convicted felon would make a good bf? She must have been bloody desperate for a man.

bananaseedo's picture

True, because they aren't allowed to purchase guns.  That said, IMO a very poor choice on the mothers end-to me it would depend on the conviction.  I mean honestly, I know some pretty decent guys/gals out there that made a mistake in their past and holding one hydrocodone w/out a prescription is enough to give you a felony.   They went on to be awesome people and though neither chose to have kids, they were great stepparents.  I will say, mostly in these cases one finds out mom was one of those serial dating/marriage type.

Aniki-Moderator's picture

No, they are not. It's either the mother's or obtained illegally.

I know a couple of people who have committed crimes, done time, got out, and got straight. The guy in the article... maybe Mom likes the bad boy type. Hell of a price to pay...

Just watched another news report about it - the kids' father killed himself a couple of years ago.  And this guy who shot them was convicted for spousal sexual assault.  Who dates a guy with that kind of a conviction?

beebeel's picture

Eight kids have been sexually assaulted in my county (One of the smallest in the state) this year (well, that we know of, unfortunately there was many more that authorities are still unaware of). One perp was the bd, two were uncles/grandfathers, and 5 were assaulted by the SF or mom's bf.

Statistics show again and again kids are at the highest risk of sexual and physical violence at the hands of unrelated males. Breaks my heart that so many people are more concerned about having a bed warmer than their children's safety.

And yes, some felonies are more severe than others. I will bet you $5 million this dirtbag's rapsheet was full of violence and previous victims. Guar-an-freaking-tee it.

beebeel's picture

Yep. I spent 10 minutes on Google and found his records. Bunch of larceny convictions, a smattering of "unlawful restraints" (a real watered down term Connecticut uses to define certain domestic violence situations), and ding! Ding ding! he was convicted of sexually assaulting a live in partner in 2007. Spent 5 whole years in prison. Got out to commit some more larceny and another DV conviction before the murder/suicide.
