Ok I was washing ALL the dishes yesterday and I went in to SD 13 room to get all the dirty dishes and I came across a cup with would seem like a million ants in it and I tools my boyfriend so he told me ill have her clean up her room and find out where the ants are coming from so we went to pick SD up and she automatically had a bad attitude so her dad took her phone away and said when ur room is clean u can have ur phone back! Well she got a text message and her dad read it and said oh really he would let me see but the SD said Idk why your reading it, its none of ur bisness and he said oh really! And she said can I have my phone back now and he gave her the phone pretty as u please ugh makes me sick its like she just talked to u like shit now ur going to let her get her way ugh WTF!!!!

Yeah that's the rule in my house too but my boys always manage to have 2 & 3 cups in there rooms at a time. I tell them to clean them up and they do so I don't freak out about it anymore. I pick my battles.

I believe that you teach people how to treat you. He's teaching her that it's okay to disrespect him. Uh oh.

I agree with Doubletake! He is making a mistake with what he is doing. He had a good start with taking her phone away, but didnt keep up with the follow thru. Perhaps he is trying, but he made the ultimate mistake by giving the phone back too quickly, and now she knows what to do in order to get it back..

We also do not allow any of the kids (step or my bio) to take any dishes to their rooms or frankly any roomm other then the kitchen. We have a breakfast nook in there, and when the have drinking glasses, they are to stay on the table in there. Just makes for a more clean & uniformed home Smile

Makes me wonder, what was that text about?
