OT Another Raise for DH

He's gotten a number of big raises and promotions that Satan hasn't benefitted from since she lost custody of Paycheck/Killjoy in 2012. So sad, QQ Satan. She used to brag to GBM that she was 'getting raises whenever DH got a raise'. I had to resist the urge to ask him if he will be sending some of his extra earnings to her. But he hates to think about her and wouldn't appreciate the sarcasm.

I swear, I'll stop thinking about her at all eventually...I've got her raise...right here...

It takes awhile for those fearsome thoughts about BM to dim.  I remember when every event in our family provoked a reaction from BM, usually negative,  usually upsetting to DH and/or the SKs.  Once they all moved in and once she remarried, it started to diminish but I still had lingering ptsd.

It is getting better though. Even after we got custody, it was nonstop court nonsense, and then we ended up separated and supporting two households, so now that Killjoy is gone and we're back together we are finally getting ahead and it feels great. OTOH, Mealticket dumped her, I should send her a sympathy card.

My DH got a raise too!

Both he and BM are likely making a lot more than they did when the CO was made, but as far as I know CS has never been updated. Somehow DH managed to strike fear into BM saying that she would be held in contempt for preventing him from seeing SD if she ever went back to court for more money. So I think they have a court Mexican standoff.

It works for me, more money for this house!
