7 Layers of Padded, Push up bras!!!

So we just got the SDs back for summer vacation. SD11 is old enough that she needs to wear a bra. BM sent me a message, telling me that SD needed bras and that she would send some with her. DH responded and told her that we would take her shopping. We didn't want SDs bringing anything from BM's house. We planned to take them as soon as we got back to our home state. If you remember, her house was condemned for being too filthy. And, the school has complained to DH that the SDs have cockroaches in their backpacks sometimes. So we don't allow anything to come from BM's house to ours.

We get back yesterday and I tell the girls to change into some clothes I have for them. Of course, the bras we had were a little tight on SD11 but we found one that fit. She brings me her pile of clothes and I throw them in the washer. I pulled them out of the dryer today and I find 7 padded, push up bras in the load. I threw all of clothes in together and wasn't really paying attention. So I was really surprised to start pulling these different bras out of the laundry basket this afternoon.

I just asked SD11 how she came to have so many bras. Her answer: "My mom told me to put them on one over the other and wear two baggy t-shirts." I didn't lose my temper. I just am astounded that BM would go to such lengths to sneak them here.

Also, I may be old fashioned, but I don't think an 11 year old needs a padded bra, let alone a push up bra. Some of these bras are all lace and are sheer. They are completely inappropriate. DH told me to box up the bras and the girls can give them to her when they see her next month.

No, there is no way they are the same size. BM is probably a C or D cup. SD11 is an A cup. Maybe, they are hand me downs from another family member. I am not sure. I was surprised because for the most part BM doesn't let SD11 dress provocatively.

Plain old cotton bras are more than enough for a young girl just starting to grow. My Sister was a DD by 7th grade so she needed something padded to cover her nipples. She went so far as to use round bandaids on occasion.

I do not think all that sexy, push up, and lace is appropriate for young girls. They still should be wearing those underwear with the days of the week on them.

I'm still perplexed at the purpose of wearing 7 bras and 2 baggy shirts???

If you're trying to make your boobs look bigger, then why the baggy shirts?
If you're trying to hide your boobs with 2 baggy shirts, why load up the boobies with 7 padded bras?

Help me here...

OHHHHH..... bra smuggling! Got you!
Good grief, makes you wonder what else they are smuggling in and/or out and where they are hiding the goods??

My 13yo wears padded sports bras and the padding is only because they are sensitive and growing so even a T-Shirt rubbing up against them hurts. Padded Push UP for an 11yo NOPE!!!
