OT - Sad Job Update

DH didn't get the job with the big bank. They said they weren't moving forward with the position at all at this time, but the HR personal confided, after some pressing, that the manager said he didn't see DH as a fit for his team. DH was pretty devastated...we found out Friday. SD16 and SD13 flew up for a visit this weekend which took his mind off of things. We all had a blast and I'm sad I probably won't see them until Christmas Sad

DH's lawyer still hasn't gotten an agreed upon date from BM's lawyer and the judge. Ugh. Hate this waiting. HOwever, he and the lawyer are having a call today about all of BM's financial paperwork she finally sent in, so I can't wait to see what that says

i think job goals are the hardest whe nwe have out hopes up. sadly, qualifications are not the only factor. lots of other factors may be at work as to why DH did not get the job.

i hope something else turns up that is better.

Sorry he didn't get the job Sad Hopefully it's because something better is about to come along.

Hang in there. I have had struggles with closing the job offer deal on several occassions throughout my career. Ultimately when the offer did come... it was far better than the offers I was not successful in securing.

Right now for example. With O&G prices depressed my industry is withering and things are getting lean, cold, and dark just about everywhere. I was demobilized from an international assignment last year and there was no where for me to go. Fortunately I had been networking broadly and specifically had been in conversation with a competitor who had hired several of my former coworkers so I transitioned with little delay.

Tell DH to keep his head up and network, network, network.
